That main event sucked ass. The other fights were pretty good, but what a crappy performance by both Swick and Burkman.

what a snorefest
I get the brand building of it all, but I haven't seen a more boring main event since the Salaverry-Marquardt buildup and disappointment

I played hockey last night at 9:30, so I missed the UFN. And I forgot to record it. I guess it's not worth the time downloading?

Not really. The only thing I took away from it was a fine performance from Nate Diaz. Cote had a good outing as well.

UFC bans Affliction?
Only somewhat MMA related, but I thought it was intereting enough to post:
Wonder how this will affect Rampage and GSP? I assume they signed sponsorship contracts.

However, if this is true, what the **** is Affliction thinking? There's enough small, sh**ty orgs out there not making any money, there's no need for another one.

Didn't even realize the UFC signed Brock Lesnar. Apparenlty will be fighting Frank Mir at the next PPV.

Yeah, I read that earlier today. Kinda a weird fight for the UFC to make. If Shogun loses, that's 2 in a row, hard to bounce back from that when you're new to the org. If Chuck loses, then he lost to the guy that lost to a TUF winner. I'm not sure that Chuck's career at this point can take that, considering he already lost to another TUF'er in Jardine. ON the other hand, a win over a solid fighter like Shogun puts Chuck right back into the title picture (I'd say 1 more win would be required) and if Shogun's case, a win over a big name like Chuck will do a lot to legitimize him in the eyes of the casual UFC fan (of which there are MANY).
