I liked it. Beyond arguing with a friend that one tap is as good as 15 for a tapout, I think it was a good fight and the card was good overall.

I only half watched the finale. We had some friends over for a BBQ, so it was on, but I wasn't paying 100% attention. I downloaded it though and will watch it in the next couple of days.

I couldn't agree more. I think CB was trying to fool Amir into releasing the armbar. But with the ref right there, it was a great stoppage. It's like Scott Smith telling the ringside doctor that he couldn't see. You can't tap even once and not expect it to get stopped. Glad to see Amir win.

I think what happened was, the arm-bar started to slip as he started to tap. It was like a check swing that is called a strike. It may have been only one, but it still counts.

It was good to see Kendal back in good form. He even took some good shots on the chin without going down.

Kind of a weird fight no?

Rich Franklin vs. Matt Hamill on tap for UFC 88 | MMAjunkie.com

I am a Rich Franklin fan but I have no interest in him fighting Matt Hamill.

I just don't understand what's in it for Rich. Hamill is a mid-tier fighter at best right now. A win over him will do nothing for Franklin. I figured if he jumped up in weight, he'd want to take on a top-10 guy. Even if Hamill wins, he beats a guy who hasn't fought at that weight class in several years, it doesn't do much for him either (though it does more for him than Rich). Weird fight, yes.

Sin City Sentinel: Burnett Sues ‘TUF’

Mikey Burnet is suing the makers of TUF for "carelessly, recklessly and negligently failing to provide a safe environment for the Ultimate Fighter 4 participants."

If only they had constructed a house with no walls, you would've been fine, right Mikey? Idiot.

I'm guessing that it's basically a chance for Franklin to get a feel for the bigger guys in that division again. It doesn't "do" anything for him, but you figure if he wins (which I imagine he will), he'll do a bigger fight after. My guess is that Shogun would be on tap after. Both of them are smaller 205'ers and it would be a good draw of a fight. NYE with Penn vs. GSP? All speculation, but seems reasonable if everything shakes down.

Not a great night of fights but a really solid main event.

Can't believe Forrest Griffinth is the undisputed LHW champion of the world. Never thought I'd see that!
