It's true that the media's spin of the events have been a gross bastardizing of the story. We don't know what the truth is, we only know what happened and even that has yet to be 100% confirmed by the toxicology reports. The investigation hasn't even been completed. But what can you do, the media is the strongest form of communication in the world.
I tried to watch last night and just couldn't. Every time i saw somone apply a rear choke hold all I could think about was benoit doing that to his son in his bed, every time I saw someone punch someone in the head, all I could see was him hitting his wife on the floor.
benoit was one of my and my son's favorites, one of the funniest things i've ever seen was watching him come out of the bedroom after Wrestlemania this year shaking out his neck like benoit did coming to the ring, smiling all the time. Now I have the joy of trying to explain all of this to him.
Brian Pillman and Eddie Guerrero I can understand, they paid the price of hard living. Owen Hart I can deal with, he was trying something that was unsafe. Wrestling became far too real this week. I don't think I'll ever watch again
