This is one persons report from TMZ, so it could be false considering the source..........My second cousin is an officer with GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) and what he's heard in his circle is that Chris Benoit's wife killed their son Daniel, called Chris and told him to rush home because of an emergency which is why he missed last Sunday's Vengeance PPV. Upon arriving home Benoit killed his wife in a rage for the death of his son and then killed himself Monday morning. His wife's body was found in the master bedroom, strangled with the cord from an alarm clock. The son's body was found in his room appearantly suffocated with a garbage bag. Chris then wrote a suicide note explaining what had happened, apologized to his family, his other children (from a seperate relationship), and his fans. He the fashioned a slip-knot noose from from rope taken from the garage and hung himself from the ballaster in the foyer of his suburban Atlanta home.

Chris has always had "the look" of someone who is on 'roids... I wouldn't be surprised if this was a contributing factor. People on the stuff have been known to plunge deep into depression and eventually killing themselves and others. This is just a thought that came into my head when I read that this was a possible double murder-suicide.

TMZ has now pulled that story saying that the info they have says he may have killed his wife on Saturday & then smothered his son on Sunday.

I watched the tribute last night & it was brutal. It's disconcerting to see these guys out of character - just talking about their friend, some of them crying. It was tough to watch.

Whatever happened, it's all just very, very sad.

RIP Chris, Nancy & Daniel.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — Professional wrestler Chris Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son before he hanged himself, investigators said Tuesday.

A law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press that Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room.

Earlier, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the details of the deaths are going to prove a little bizarre" when released to the public. Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

There will be no resting in peace for him if this ends up to be the truth.

Yeah, I was totally thinking the same thing myself. I hope they handle things with class and just kill the McMahon angle. The only problem is the WWE is that they are rarely (if ever) classy; see Randy Orton using Eddie's death to get cheap heat.:(

McMahon himself killed the angle as soon as they went on the air last night.

It's being confirmed by more and more sources that Benoit strangled his wife on Saturday, then smothered his son on Sunday. He sent strange txt messages to best friend, Chavo Guerrero, who notified WWE execs and in turn notified the Fayetteville police. He hung himself Monday.

His wife filed for divorce in 2003 and filed a restraining order against him. Both were later dropped by his wife, despite her claiming that he had threatned her and their child.

This still makes absolutely zero sense. I'm speechless.
