I wasn't exactly surprised. Had it been a boxing match, I may have given Mercer a chance. However, it was MMA. He's a thousand years old and can't have trained very much for that style of fighting. All Kimbo had to do was get a hold of him, and fight over. I did expect a full on assault once on the ground, so I do have to admit being very surprised by the choke out.

They are trying to put together a Kimbo/Tank fight. Talk about a freakshow.

I heard Kimbo was training under Bas Rutten. If Kimbo is serious about this, he could make his bread. He's a tough guy, really charismatic and has a cult following like no other.

Apparently Bas thinks highly of Kimbo in a statement over on Sherdog. I must say that I was surprised by the fight being that short and how it ended, I had Mercer. And yes, Kimbo and Tank will be just another freakshow.

Did anyone else catch the Strikeforce on friday?
