    nice job TC

    my predictions:

Daniel Bryan with the win, I think he'll be the next IC Champ and maybe his new Ladies man gimmick will factor in with Vickie and Kaitlyn.

Layla should get the win, LayCool (any relation TC ) are being pushed to the limit so why interrupt that push.

Smackdown won last year so its RAW's turn, unless the rumors are true and Vince wants Smackdown to be the number one show because of its move to SyFy.

I think Orton retains with accidental help from Cena on orders from Barret that are changed by Otunga.

Kane with the win because of Taker's health issues.

    should be a fun PPV.

WWE Bragging Rights PPV Review - 10/24/10
    My Review Score: 8/10

This was a pretty decent PPV. The only reason the PPV didn't receive a 10/10 from me is because of the terrible main event. The match was bad and the booking was a cop out. Everything else was really entertaining and that is why I gave the PPV an 8 rating.

For the predictions... I got 4 out of 5 correct. The only one wrong was that I picked Team RAW to win.

United States Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero

This match kicked off the PPV and in my opinion, stole the show. A lot of back and forth action between Ziggler and Bryan. I think Dolph had the upper hand in the match and got in more offense. What made this match great was the high risk moves both Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler executed throughout the match.

The end came when Dolph Ziggler had trouble putting Daniel Bryan away. He kept complaining to the official and Daniel Bryan capitalized and got the LeBell Lock submission on Dolph. He immediately tapped out. What really surprised me is that Vickie Guerrero didn't interfere at all.

Final Result: Daniel Bryan by submission.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes (WWE Tag Team Champions) vs Nexus - David Otunga & John Cena

With out 5 matches advertised, they needed extra matches. This one was pretty entertaining. I'm not sure why WWE didn't bother advertising this one. John Cena in a match would probably have gotten the PPV a few more buys.

This match happened because Dashing Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre were bragging about how no one from RAW or Smackdown could beat them. Things never turn out great for the heels when they brag about stuff like that...

RAW GM says he has a team that can beat them and Wade Barrett came out. He "ordered" Cena to win the Tag Titles for Nexus and he did just that.

Otunga started the match off because he said, "I got this". He looked pretty bad because Drew and Cody worked him over pretty well. Otunga got pissed and tagged in Cena. John Cena then reminded me why I don't like him. He made the tag champs look BAD. He pretty much destroyed Dashing Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. He eventually got the STF locked in on Drew McIntyre (I think) and won the titles himself.

I may not like Cena and how he hardly puts people over because of his Super Cena crap, but I like what WWE is doing here. Having the Tag Titles on Cena and Otunga makes it interesting.

Final Result: John Cena & David Otunga by Submission.

What made me laugh is when Otunga celebrated with two titles after the match and then he acted like he did all the work himself. Unfortunately, he ate the Attitude Adjustment and Cena left with both of the belts.

Ted DiBiase w/Maryse vs Goldust w/Aksana

Goldust on a PPV? Hell yes!!! The last time I remember Goldust having a feud is when he was feuding with Razor Ramon.

This match was good and it goes to show that guys like Goldust can put on a damn good match. Now if only William Regal is given a chance... that guy can really wrestle.

Ted DiBiase needs the win here and bad. I'm glad he got it. Not quite sure if what he did was a new finisher or not, it was quite weak to be honest. It was like a... baby DDT.

Aksana wore a dress that was too short and it made her look silly when Maryse attacked her. She was so busy trying to pull down her dress that she couldn't defend herself.

Final Result: Ted DiBiase by pinfall.

After the match, Maryse took the Million Dollar Belt back but got clocked by Aksana. Ted DiBiase wanted the belt back but Aksana teased kissing him. Then Goldust gave Ted the Final Cut and left with the Million Dollar Belt again.

Divas Championship Match: Layla (Co-Divas Champion) vs. Natalya

This match was pretty good as well. It went about 10 minutes or so, and that's a good amount of time for a Divas match. Michelle interfered.. a lot.

If any Diva is going to take the belts from LayCool, they're going to need backup. Like I mentioned in my predictions, because Daniel Bryan won, Layla was winning this. Layla won when Michelle kicked Natalya in the head.

    Final Result: Layla by pinfall.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Buried Alived Match: Kane (World Heavyweight Champion) w/Paul Bearer vs The Undertaker

I liked this match a lot. Some might say it was slow paced but it was pretty good for Undertaker and Kane. I especially loved how they strayed away from the ring and just stayed outside. They went to a lot of different places in the crowd.

It always had me thinking, "If they ever fought near me in the crowd, I would be completely satisfied and would think it's worth the price of admission".

Undertaker dominated the match early on and Kane was struggling to defend himself. Eventually Kane got the upper hand and even gave Undertaker two chokeslams in the ring!

When they got to the grave area, Undertaker got the upper hand and threw Kane in the grave. Before Taker could start shoveling dirt on Kane, Nexus interefered. All of the Nexus (minus Cena) attacked Undertaker for a few minutes. Kane eventually got back up and attacked Undertaker as well.

Kane threw Undertaker into the grave and Nexus shoveled dirt on Undertaker. Kane told them to go away and then did his pyro pose. I think the pyro exploded in the ring but then the bulldozer poured dirt on Undertaker. RIP (again)

A side note... I think Taker has been in 4-5 buried alive matches. I can't recall the last time he actually won one.

    Final Result: Kane wins.

I was shocked this wasn't the last match of the PPV. We're suppose to believe that Taker is "dead" in the grave and the PPV is still going on? Also, after the match... Cole, King, and Striker used their quiet voices because Taker died or something. Yet a few minutes later, they're all cheerful again.

WWE Bragging Rights Elimination Tag Team Match: Team RAW - Ezekiel Jackson, Santino Marella, R-Truth, John Morrison, Sheamus, CM Punk, and The Miz vs Team Smackdown - Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Edge, Alberto Del Rio, Tyler Reks, Kofi Kingston, and Big Show

Great entertaining match here as well. The crowd was really into it. The kept chanting "CM Punk!" even though he's a heel. There were also lots of "Miz is Awesome!" chants.

Santino got eliminated first, as expected. Tyler Reks didn't look too bad. Alberto Del Rio wasn't a team player because he attacked Rey Mysterio. I personally liked that because they just had a feud on Smackdown. Just because they're on the same brand/team doesn't mean they should work together.

Big Show and Sheamus both getting counted out works because I couldn't see either one getting pinned cleanly. The end came when Edge and Rey Mysterio dominated The Miz, Ezekiel Jackson, and CM Punk.

Smackdown has "won" the Bragging Rights Cup for two years in a row now. Really surprised WWE had them win because Team RAW looked bad on RAW and Smackdown and they looked bad again at the PPV.

    Final Result: Team Smackdown.

Striker made me laugh when he said something along the lines of, "This will probably be the only time Minnesota will ever enjoy the Cup".

WWE Championship Match: Randy Orton (WWE Champion) vs Wade Barrett w/John Cena

You know how WWE hypes the match with a promo video before the match? In the promo video, it showed how Wade Barrett became the #1 Contender and all that stuff. Basically, John Cena was suppose to help Barrett win the title or else he's fired.

WWE then did a huge cop out by having Barrett go on the mic before the match and he said, "Just in case you forgot Cena, if I don't win the match tonight, you're fired."

Right when he said that, I thought... NO! NO! NO! That means a DQ finish because Wade Barrett conveniently forgot to say if Cena doesn't help him win the title, he'll be fired.

Someone pointed out that Cena couldn't follow more than one order at a time. How stupid is that? Cena always hesitates when Barrett tells him what to do. Why can't Barrett order Cena to stop hesitating?

The match was also only like 8 minutes long. There was a convenient ref bump that allowed the rest of Nexus to beat down Orton. Cena then came in and beat up Nexus but explained to Barrett he had to clear them out of the ring because the ref was waking up.

Then Cena gives Barrett the Attitude Adjustment before Orton can hit the RKO to give Wade Barrett the DQ win. When will Vince McMahon understand that DQ finishes for a PPV is STUPID?

Cena hands Orton the belt after the match and ate the RKO. Orton celebrated a DQ loss (lol) and then RKOed Barrett when he stood up. What a cheap way to "send the fans home happy".

Final Result: Wade Barrett by DQ.

    -------------------------------------------------

Great PPV except for the main event. WWE is too scared to put the title on Wade Barrett. They're also too scared to make Cena wear the Nexus shirt. How frustrating.

So Cena has to give the WWE title to Alfalfa as the ref at Survivor Series or he is fired? Lame

It'll change before the PPV they have a lot of time before they get to Survivor Series.

and if anybody ever needs a stream, I always find a few that are reliable.

TC nice write up but I have to disagree with your assessment of the Elimination match and the last match.

I thought the elimination match was horrible, I didn't like the count out it just seemed like lazy booking and having Rey Mysterio injured again and taken to the back only to return like Superman and basically beat a monster like Zeke and beat RAW all by himself doesn't work for me.

The last match at first I didn't like the DQ but it made sense, Barret said he had to win and he did, he wasn't specific that he had to win the title he just had to win and this continues Cena's skirting on the edge of what Barret has told him, I like it

If WWE is finally going to make Cena a heel... this would be the perfect time to do it. I see it happening both ways (The heel way and the face way)

Heel turn - Wade Barrett orders John Cena to turn a blind eye while Nexus (David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Michael McGillicutty, Husky Harris) destroys Orton. Wade Barrett uses his finisher as well and Cena reluctantly counts to 3. The crowd boos as Wade Barrett is finally a WWE Champion but at the same time, the crowd is happy because Cena isn't in Nexus anymore. Then Cena helps Orton up but gives him an Attitude Adjustment and decides to stay with Nexus.

Staying as a face - I see the same situation playing out and Wade Barrett becomes the WWE Champion. However, I can picture Cena destroying all of Nexus since he's "free" now. And you know Cena can do it because he can turn into Super Cena anytime. Then Cena gives Barrett the Attitude Adjustment and you hear... "AWESOME!". The Miz comes out and finally cashes in the Money in the Bank contract. He picks Barrett up and hits him with the Skull Crushing Finale and win the WWE Title. This way, Cena stays a face and Wade Barrett isn't the WWE Champion.

Elimination Match - I agree with you about Rey Mysterio. If Alberto Del Rio is going to take him out, why is he coming back and returning like Superman? I'm sure we all knew he would return because Michael Cole kept saying, "Rey Mysterio has not been officially eliminated yet".

This is also why I hated when Rey Mysterio was the World Heavyweight Champion. He makes bigger opponents (like Big Show, Batista, Jack Swagger, Ezekiel Jackson, etc.) all look stupid.

DQ Finish - I get what you're saying but I just felt like they wussed out. They're doing the exact same thing for Survivor Series now but they're making it more specific. The reason Wade Barrett was the #1 contender for Bragging Rights (by having Cena eliminate himself in the Battle Royal) was to win the WWE Title. But WWE decided to pull a fast one on the audience by making Wade Barrett specifically say, "If I don't win this match, you're fired.

A minor gripe since I know Cena is still suppose to be a face. You would think by now, Barrett should be telling Cena to stop hesitating on every order he gives out.

RAW Review coming up in a bit...

    Default Smackdown Review - 11/05/10

I'm going to stop being lazy so I can give my thoughts on Smackdown and RAW.

    Smackdown Review - 11/05/10

This was a fun Smackdown and it was kept fresh with Nexus invading the show.

    Edge vs Alberto Del Rio

First time these two have fought and I'm hungry for more. Good chemistry between these two men. The match was cut short when Nexus (minus Wade Barrett) invaded and beat down Edge and Alberto Del Rio.

David Otunga (acting leader) said Nexus is taking over Smackdown. Big Show's music hits and he comes out. Next is Rey Mysterio. Then Kane! Which doesn't quite make sense since Nexus helped Kane bury The Undertaker alive. Edge and Alberto Del Rio help the three Smackdown superstars and they cleared out Nexus.

    Final Result: No Contest.

Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Champion) vs JTG

JTG needs a gimmick change. His "Brooklyn Brooklyn" Cryme Tyme gimmick by himself is silly.

Adding a heel Michael Cole to commentary on Smackdown is pretty great. Look at what was said when Todd Grisham, Matt Striker, and Michael Cole were doing commentary. Here is something I typed up at the best of my memory off the top of my head.

Todd Grisham: Does Dolph have a confidence issue? It's been over a month since he's won a match.

Matt Striker: Whoa whoa, if I was kissing Kaitlyn I'd be the most confident guy on the face of the planet.

Michael Cole: He's look very confident in the ring right now.
Todd Grisham: What if you were kissing Vickie?
Matt Striker: I'd be confident as well.
    Todd Grisham: In what?
Michael Cole: I don't know what's your problem Todd. Vickie is hot, she's sexy, she's a COOGAR!
Matt Striker: Can you say cougar again?
    Michael Cole: COOOOOOGAR!

They really crack me up. Anyway, the match was pretty short. Dolph made short work of JTG giving him the Zig Zag Finisher and then putting JTG away with the Sleeper hold.

Final Result: Dolph Ziggler by submission.

After the match, Kaitlyn came down to the ring to celebrate with Dolph. By the way, these two were caught making out on NXT so Vickie is pissed! Vickie came out and slapped Kaitlyn. Teddy Long then granted Vickie Guerrero a match against Kaitlyn later on in the show.

Triple Threat Match to determine the #1 Contender for the IC Title: MVP vs Drew McIntyre vs Dashing Cody Rhodes

I like MVP's new music. The way it's timed with his pyro is really cool. Unfortunately, MVP is still straight up "Boring!". This was a great match and probably the best match of the night. Lots of action and near falls. MVP picked up the win though so he'll face Dolph Ziggler next week for the Intercontinental Championship.

    Final Result: MVP by pinfall.

There were two separate backstage segments where Nexus attacked Rey Mysterio because Rey is injured and can't work the match. They later attacked MVP and Kaval for no reason... but then again, they don't need one.

    Vickie Guerrero vs Kaitlyn

This match has FAIL written all over it on paper but it was actually really funny. Kaitlyn dominated the match since she can wrestle more than Vickie. Michael Cole was so worried about Vickie though, it was fun to see. Vickie then got back in the ring and won by pinfall because she used the ropes to her advantage.

Final Result: Vickie Guerrero by pinfall.

    Tyler Reks vs Chris Masters

I really want to give Tyler Reks a chance. He does have some nice moves in his arsenal. But like Chris Masters, if you don't give Tyler Reks a personality or a storyline... no one will give a damn.

Final Result: Tyler Reks by pinfall after using the Burning Hammer finisher.

Nexus - David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Michael McGillicutty, & Husky Harris vs Kane (World Heavyweight Champion), Big Show, Edge, Alberto Del Rio, and Kofi Kingston.

With Rey Mysterio injured and therefore "assaulted" backstage, Kofi Kingston replaced him.

The match was alright. It was your typical 10 man tag where you just wait for the hot finish. Alberto Del Rio ditched his team midway through the match so it was 5 on 4. The end came though when Edge speared both Kane and David Otunga to help Team Smackdown win.

Final Result: Edge pinned David Otunga.

    -------------------------

Good show. A bit annoyed at the lack of promotion for Survivor Series. WWE doesn't know how to build up a damn PPV anymore it seems.

I watched RAW so I'll definitely write my review/thoughts for that tomorrow (if not tonight after the Kings/Stars game).

    Thanks for reading!

Old School RAW was a lot of fun last night, it brought back a lot of good memories. I wish they would bring back JR and Mean Gene they didn't miss a beat

Thumbs up Old School RAW Review - 11/15/10

I apologize if any of you were looking forward to my RAW review from 11-08-10. I did watch it and had a bunch of thoughts. Never got around to typing it. I did watch Old School RAW (and I know many of you did) and it was awesome!

Old School RAW Review - 11/15/10

Boy, I forgot how catchy the RAW theme was. I liked that they aired it at the top of each hour for those who tuned in late.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund, Cowboy Bob Orton, Wade Barrett, The Miz/Alex Riley, and John Cena segment

Fun segment to start the show. I might be in the minority here but I'm glad they don't do promos from the stage anymore. It just seems like the crowd is really far away from the "action" if you know what I mean.

Bob Orton said that Randy Orton is running late because he didn't know the show started an hour earlier. Was that a knock at the old school days? It sounds ridiculous that the WWE Champion did not know RAW is a 3 hour special.

So Wade Barrett comes out and said he'll win at Survivor Series... The Miz said he'll cash in on Orton so the match would off at SS and Cena would have to stay in Nexus forever. Cena then challenged The Miz to a match tonight to make sure The Miz is in no condition to cash in his contract. It was a fun segment to set up the show.

Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Champion) w/ Vickie Guerrero vs "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry

Non-title match. The point of this was for Mark Henry to come out to an Old School theme which was REALLY cool. I got really excited thinking a lot of the older wrestlers will be using their old songs. Boy... did I get excited for nothing.

This match wasn't that good but I didn't really care. It was really funny to hear the crowd chant "Chocolate" trying to rally Mark. Dolph Ziggler won with the sleeper submission.

Final Result: Dolph Ziggler by submission.

Nexus - Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater (WWE Tag Team Champions) vs The Hart Dynasty - David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd

Wasn't really much of a match here either. After weeks of wanting to break up, Tyson Kidd officially did it by kicking David Hart Smith in the face. Justin Gabriel then finished David Hart Smith with the 450 Splash.

Final Result: Justin Gabriel by pinfall.

Not sure I like Tyson Kidd going heel. I figured since David Hart Smith is boring, he should be the one to go heel and have Tyson Kidd work as a face.

    Ezekiel Jackson vs Brooklyn Brawler

Brooklyn Brawler accompanied to the ring by Harvey Wippleman..

Of course, Mr. Brawler issued an open challenge to anyone in the back. Big Zeke came out and squashed him. But who didn't expect that? =D It was fun to see.

Final Result: Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.

John Cena vs Alex Riley w/The Miz

Really wanted Cena to come out to his rap Thugonomics music.. oh well.

I still think the GM could be Michael Cole and again here is why. The Miz said if the GM doesn't object, he's putting in a substitute for the match and that's Alex Riley. The GM didn't object *wink wink* so The Miz can stay "fresh" to cash in his contract later. John Cena didn't do Alex Riley any favors in this match... poor guy got squashed.

Final Result: John Cena by submission with the STF.

After the match, Orton came in to attack The Miz and wanted to punt Cena but Nexus (McGillicutty and Harris) made the "save" but they got beat up. The Miz retreats while Orton and Cena stare down. The refs and backstage guys did the old school separation between Orton and Cena.

#1 Contenders Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs The Usos w/Tamina & Jimmy Superfly Snuka

I'm sure everyone saw Santino and Vladimir winning since they weren't going to have the heel Usos face the heel Nexus. Santino actually connects with the Cobra finish to win the match. It was a pretty entertaining match for what it's worth because it was silly.

Final Result: Santino Marella by pinfall.

Sheamus again comes out to try and attack Santino. John Morrison makes the save yet again. Morrison basically explained that the reason he keeps making the save is that Sheamus is a "bully". So we have John Morrison vs Sheamus at Survivor Series.

    David Otunga vs Kofi Kingston

The match was alright here. A little bit back and forth and then complete randomness happened. George "The Animal" Steele decided to come out just to eat the turnbuckle pad. David Otunga was confused as hell and Kofi Kingston took advantage by throwing Otunga on the exposed turnbuckle and then connected with the Trouble in Paradise finisher.

Final Result: Kofi Kingston by pinfall.

    Wade Barrett vs R-Truth w/Eve

Wade Barrett wanted to show everyone that he is perfectly capable of winning a match on his own... and he did just that. R-Truth was no match for Wade and lost after Wade hit the Wasteland finisher.

Final Result: Wade Barrett by pinfall.

Alberto Del Rio vs Sgt. Slaughter

Tito Santana introduced Alberto Del Rio and Chavo Classic was the driver. Way cool! Sgt. Slaughter took some bumps here but did enough for his age. Alberto Del Rio picked up a easy victory and then locked in the armbar submission for good measure. MVP made the save... for no reason.

Final Result: Alberto Del Rio by pinfall.

No Disqualification Handicap Match: Mae Young vs LayCool

Leave it to Mae Young to ruin the PG rating. But oh my god, it was hilarious!!! She actually called LayCool "sluts" and "b*tches". Basically, all the divas destroyed LayCool and Mae Young pinned Layla.

I read this at another website but I think the point of this match is so that Mae Young is the only person to wrestle in every single decade.. from 1930 all the way until 2010. Very cool of WWE to do that for Mae Young.

Final Result: Mae Young by pinfall after slapping Layla.

Daniel Bryan (United States Champion) vs Jack Swagger

Jim Ross was invited by The King to do guest commentary. JR hasn't missed a beat and I miss him on Smackdown. Michael Cole was being a complete douche and I loved every minute of it. Cole was actually rooting for Daniel Bryan because he wanted the match to end so JR would leave. lol

JR ignored everything Cole said except when Michael asked him how the BBQ sauce is going. Then JR plugged his website.

It was cool to see JR smack Michael Cole around with his hat when he was leaving. I don't even remember how Daniel Bryan won but he did.

    Final Result: Daniel Bryan.

After the match, Ted DiBiase attacked him. Apparently Ted doesn't want his useless Million Dollar Belt anymore and he wants the US Title. This match will probably take place at Survivor Series.

Piper's Pit with John Cena, Wade Barrett, and Randy Orton

I'm sure you guys will agree with me when I say that Piper is still GREAT on the mic. He really delivered here and sold the PPV well by promoting the match between Barrett and Orton.

Piper told Cena to not give Wade Barrett the WWE Title or else he'll be insulting all the other legends including himself who never held the championship.

Cena basically said that he will call the match evenly. If Orton deserves to win, then he'll count 1-2-3 for him. If Barrett deserves to win, he'll do the same.

Wade Barrett forced Cena to wear the Nexus shirt. Wade said he can't believe he didn't do this sooner... and I totally agree. Cena put on the Nexus shirt (could this be a preview?) without arguing.

Orton comes to the ring and attacks Wade Barrett. He's about to RKO Barrett but Cena saves Wade. Cena ate an RKO for his trouble. Wade then fights Orton for like 5 seconds. Cena, being the no-sell that he is, pops up and gives Orton the Attitude Adjustment. He gave one to Wade Barrett for good measure.

Piper and Cena pose to end RAW while Orton and Wade Barrett sells the Attitude Adjustment.

    --------------------------------------

It was a really fun show overall. The old school concept was interesting and it kept RAW fresh. The three hours and 15 minutes went by really quickly.

Aside from the main event between Barrett and Orton, the card looks terrible with little to no buildup. There is only one traditional Survivor Series match announced and it's Rey Mysterio's team vs Alberto Del Rio's team. (All 10 Smackdown guys! No RAW superstars.)

I'll definitely watch Smackdown this Friday and will post my predictions for the PPV this weekend.

Mean Gene was great. I wonder if he has been kept up to date with the current wrestlers. JR was also great. I wouldn't mind taking Cole off of Smackdown now. Just put JR with Matt Striker and Todd Grisham.
