WWE Released a couple of Superstars and Divas today.

Shad Gaspard - Shad's heel turn was short lived. I never really liked Cryme Tyme and I'm not sure why Shad got the boot and not JTG. Shad's the one that changed his character and tried something different.

Luke Gallows - Nooooooo! Not Luke Gallows! I had high hopes for him when CM Punk decided to help him out with the SES. Poor booking led to the demise of Luke Gallows though. He didn't really win matches and have always let CM Punk down. Then when the SES broke up, they stopped using him completely.

Vance Archer - One half of the Gatecrashers gone. WWE doesn't know how to use a lot of their mid/low card talents. Vance had potential and I especially liked his finishing move. Unfortunately, you won't last in the WWE (or any wrestling programs) if you're never given a storyline or a gimmick to work with.

Caylen Croft - One half of the Dudebusters. Again, like Vance Archer.. WWE never gave him a chance to showcase his stuff on TV. The Dudebusters and Gategrashers should have been pushed in the Tag Division. Too bad for them, Vince McMahon hates tag teams. Better luck in TNA I hope.

Tiffany - Not surprised here after hearing what happened between her and Drew McIntyre at Summerslam. I didn't really watch ECW when she was the GM on that show. She tried her hand at wrestling on Smackdown and had potential. Especially when she was paired up with Kelly Kelly and were called "Blondetourage" for a bit.

Jillian Hall - Poor Jillian. I really liked her and really hated how WWE kept making her job in her matches. She's one of the rare divas who can actually wrestle too. What I remember best about Jillian is that she was JBL's "Image Consultant" and that was fun to watch. Jillian did get to hold the Divas Title just once. I think she beat Mickie James to capture her first title but then lost it to Melina on the same night.

Thumbs up Smackdown Review - 11/19/10

    Smackdown Review - 11/19/10

Pretty solid Smackdown heading into Survivor Series. Boy do I feel bad for Paul Bearer! Throughout the show, we saw many clips of Edge tormenting Paul Bearer (who he kidnapped last week) and Kane who is crying, angry, looking for his dad.

That's the only way to put some "interest" in the match at Survivor Series. Edge taking Paul Bearer to get in Kane's head. If anything, it's going to piss Kane off even more. I don't know if that's smart.

Alberto Del Rio & MVP segment

Alberto Del Rio starts the show with a promo in the ring. He talks about how he defeated Sgt. Slaughter on Old School Raw. MVP came out and talked about how great those legends are. Alberto came up with a great comeback in which he said something like, "The only reason you put those legends in such high regard is because you'll never be a legend." Alberto Del Rio also says that he is already a legend.

MVP wanted to start Survivor Series early by fighting Alberto Del Rio. Alberto said he already has a match against the little chihuahua Rey Mysterio so he sent someone from his team to fight MVP. That person is The Chosen One, Drew McIntyre!

Survivor Series Showdown Match: Drew McIntyre vs MVP

MVP looks more aggressive than ever despite his boring personality as a face. To be honest... I like it! This match went back and forth for a bit so it was fun to see. MVP won with a jump kick that looked sort of like the shining wizard. I'm still digging MVP's new song.

    Final Result: MVP by pinfall.

Survivor Series Showdown Match: Jack Swagger vs Chris Masters

Where do I begin... Oh I know! Let's talk about the Masterlock submission. It has not worked in a few years, so will the commentary please stop hyping it up as the most "deadly" submission hold? Jack Swagger made short work of Masters by defeating him with the Ankle Lock.

Final Result: Jack Swagger by submission.

Kaval vs Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Champion) w/Vickie Guerrero

Dolph Ziggler cut a promo on Kaval before the match started. Dolph pretty much insulted Kaval and his huge internet fanbase. Keep in mind that Kaval has not won a match since he won NXT Season 2. This match was great. Unfortunately, they were only given like 5 minutes but I like what I saw.

Kaval won with a rollup and then celebrated like he won the Stanley Cup.

As Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero were fuming in the ring, Kaval got on the mic and reminded everyone that he has a title shot from winning NXT Season 2. He's cashing that in against Dolph Ziggler for a shot the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series! If they get 15 minutes to work... it might steal the show. Unfortunately, they'll probably only get under 7-8 minutes at the PPV.

    Final Result: Kaval by pinfall.

Survivor Series Showdown Match: Dashing Cody Rhodes vs Kofi Kingston

I didn't care for this match at all for some strange reason. I did like the finish though, when Cody grabbed Kofi by the tights, pulled his hair a little, and delivered the Cross Rhodes finisher.

Final Result: Dashing Cody Rhodes by pinfall.

LayCool vs Kelly Kelly and Natalya

Is it just me or does Kelly Kelly gets hotter every time? She didn't do much in this match though and LayCool pretty much destroyed Natalya for a quick victory. Then again, all Diva matches are quick.

Final Result: Layla by pinfall after LayCool both kicked Natalya in the face.

Survivor Series Showdown Match: Big Show vs Tyler Reks

Tyler Reks... Not sure what WWE wants with this guy. He's suppose to be a monster and the "X-Factor" on Smackdown. He managed to know Big Show down one time and then got destroyed.

Final Result: Big Show by pinfall after a chokeslam.

Survivor Series Showdown Match: Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio

This match was cut short quickly after Rey Mysterio got the upper hand. Team Alberto Del Rio all came out and attacked Mysterio 5 on 1 until Team Mysterio made the safe. Teddy Long then announced a 10 Man Battle Royal.

    Final Result: No Contest.

Team Alberto Del Rio vs Team Rey Mysterio

Team Battle Royal? Cool! This wasn't much but it was cool. Team Mysterio won with Rey and Big Show surviving and they eliminated Jack Swagger last to win the match.

    Final Result: Team Mysterio

Thumbs up WWE Survivor Series PPV Predictions

    WWE Survivor Series PPV Predictions

Vince McMahon, always complaining about poor PPV buyrates but doesn't seem to understand what the problem is. Survivor Series was almost scrapped this year because he thinks the concept for this particular PPV is dead.

Wake up! Book your PPV Matches earlier and advertise them! Don't wait until the FINAL WEEK of RAW and Smackdown to fill up your card. You have 4 weeks to hype the PPV but you only use 1 week to do so. So frustrating. What really annoys me is that there is only one, that's right one Traditional SS match.

I'll admit, I originally said the buildup was weak because all they advertised was Barrett vs Orton and Edge vs Kane. Now on paper, all these matches look like they have potential. Unfortunately, they were all announced at the last minute so I won't be surprised at all if it was one of the worst SS PPV (buyrate wise). Anyway, enough of my rant. Time to get to the predictions.

    John Morrison vs Sheamus

This started as a Santino/Sheamus feud but it led to John Morrison vs Sheamus because Morrison kept helping Santino out. Isn't it weird how Sheamus has to put Morrison over despite being in the WWE for only 2 years? How long has Morrison been in the WWE? Gotta be over 5 years.

The obvious choice is Morrison to win the match even though he's gotten the upper hand on Sheamus for 2-3 weeks now.

    My Prediction: John Morrison

Handicap Divas Championship Match: Lay-Cool (Co-Divas Champion) vs. Natalya

I don't quite understand this match. Natalya gets a 3rd shot at the Divas Title when Alicia Fox never got a rematch clause from losing to Melina at Summerslam. Also, Melina has done nothing recently either. What gives? If Natalya can't beat Michelle OR Layla one on one, what makes anyone think she can win in a handicap match? I don't see Lay-Cool dropping the title until Beth Phoenix returns.

    My Prediction: Lay-Cool

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater (WWE Tag Team Champions) vs Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov

This match is going to be bad... and it sucks because I like Nexus. Let's face it... Santino & Kozlov = Comedy only. Gabriel and Slater has held the title for about a month... don't see them losing this one. Santino will get pinned here with the 450 splash from Justin Gabriel.

My Prediction: Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater retain the Tag Titles.

WWE United States Championship Match: Daniel Bryan (United States Champion) vs Ted DiBiase w/Maryse

This match wasn't announced until yesterday. That's right.. it wasn't announced on RAW or Smackdown. Awesome. Daniel Bryan has been a great US Champion. As sad as it sounds, he's the key to bringing back interest in the mid-card right now.

Ted DiBiase dumped the Million Dollar Belt suddenly. His feud with Goldust ended abruptly... poor Goldust. Now Ted wants the US Title. I think Daniel Bryan will retain here and they'll continue their feud at Hell in a Cell.

    My Prediction: Daniel Bryan

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Champion) w/Vickie Guerrero vs Kaval

Kaval has won only one match since winning NXT Season 2... and that was with a rollup on Dolph Ziggler this past Friday night. Kaval immediately cashed in his "contract", which is a title match at a PPV of his choosing for winning NXT. Obviously Kaval does not have the potential to be a main-eventer like Wade Barrett right now, so going for the IC Title is the right choice.

I really do like Kaval. Like Daniel Bryan, I think he's the key to helping the mid-card out on Smackdown. If this match gets about 15 minutes, it'll easily be the match of the night. But like I mentioned on my Smackdown review, I think they'll get 7-8... which sucks.

I'll have to go with the upset win from Kaval here. It makes more sense to have Dolph Ziggler start a feud with Kaval after he loses the title. If he beats Kaval, where does Kaval go from here?

    My Prediction: Kaval

Traditional Survivor Series Match: Team Mysterio - Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, MVP, & Chris Masters vs Team Del Rio - Alberto Del Rio, Dashing Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, & Tyler Reks

WWE.com had a blunder on their website. Apparently they were going to do Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio in a 2 out of 3 falls match... but since Rey is injured, they made this a Traditional SS Match.

I hope they don't go the Bragging Rights route and have Big Show lose by countout again. It would be great to see someone on Team Del Rio put him away via pinfall. They're pushing Alberto Del Rio hard right now which is why I don't see his team losing.

In fact, I think the sole survivor will be Alberto Del Rio when he makes MVP tap out to the armbar submission.

    My Prediction: Team Del Rio

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Kane (World Heavyweight Champion) vs Edge

This match is going to be ugly. Bad ugly. The only thing that made this match somewhat interesting is that Edge kidnapped Paul Bearer. You would think that this is going to piss Kane off greatly but Kane is actually "breaking down". He was crying on Smackdown believe it or not...

Nevertheless, I don't see Kane losing his title at all.

    My Prediction: Kane

No DQ and No Countout WWE Championship Match (Free or Fired): Randy Orton (WWE Champion) vs Wade Barrett with John Cena as the Special Guest Referee

This was the only match they advertised for Survivor Series. It's the John Cena show and he's not actually wrestling in this match. There are so many outcomes that can happen... and I really want John Cena to turn heel.

The concept of this match is this:

If Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title, Cena is freed from Nexus.
If Randy Orton retains the WWE Title, Cena is "fired". Keep in mind, that doesn't mean he can jump to Smackdown.

Obviously, Cena won't really be fired... and no, TNA isn't an option for Cena...

Orton told Cena that if he gives Barrett the WWE Title, he'll be disrespecting all those who won it such as Batista, HHH, Undertaker, and himself. On Piper's Pit during Old School RAW, Rowdy Piper even said that Cena would be disrespecting people like him who never won the WWE Title before.

R-Truth has gotten in Cena's face a few weeks ago backstage and he told him to just quit. Cena obviously didn't listen to him.

Also, Cena has said to Barrett's face that it doesn't matter if he's freed or fired, he's going to destroy Wade Barrett after the match because he hates him. (More on that later)

The RAW GM said this is a NO DQ and no Countout match. Nexus cannot interfere in this match either. I've thought about this match the most and I'm excited to see how it'll unfold. I've thought of a few scenarios that could happen and here it is...

#1 - Cena gives Orton the Attitude Adjustment, Wade Barrett is the WWE Champion and Cena raises his hands. Cena reveals that he played everyone like a fool and that he's been in Nexus all along. I want this to happen, but the more I think about it... the more this doesn't make sense since he has no reason to turn heel based on how much "support" he's gotten from the WWE Universe and the hatred he has for Nexus.

#2 - Wade Barrett does indeed defeat Orton cleanly with The Wasteland and Cena counts to 3. Wade Barrett celebrates winning the WWE Championship and Cena lays him out because he's freed from Nexus. The Miz cashes in his contract and Cena is still the "ref". The Miz becomes the new WWE Champion. This might work but then I'm not sure who The Miz will feud with as the Champ. Maybe Orton? Then Cena can feud with Wade Barrett yet again.

Now, the scenario that makes the most sense...

#3 - Cena accidentally screws Orton over. Wade will probably do something to provoke Cena but then Cena will hit Orton by mistake. Wade Barrett will win the match and Cena attacks Wade Barrett anyway. The Miz can then cash in his contract. If he does, he can feud with Wade Barrett or something.

But for Cena, Orton will be extremely pissed and probably accuse him of doing it on purpose. Orton could get guys to turn on Cena backstage, and this is where R-Truth can step in. He tried to be the voice of reason before anyway right? So R-Truth, Orton, and whoever else backstage can all attack Cena viciously like what Nexus did to him. Cena then will have no one to turn to but... Nexus.

This is the heel turn Cena can probably make because Orton turned the locker room AND the fans against him. It makes the most sense because I can't see Cena turning on his fans out of the blue. But if the fans turn on HIM, then this might work.

    My Prediction: Wade Barrett.

As you can see, no scenarios for if Orton retains. There's no way Orton retains. I don't see where the WWE can go with Cena being "fired".

    -------------------------------------------------

So yeah, I'm really excited to see the outcome of the WWE Championship match. Vince McMahon probably feels like this is the only reason people will order the PPV which is why he didn't bother advertising the rest of the damn card.

Wow.. no kidding. The US Title and Intercontiental Title matches shined tonight. They were given ample time and they delivered. Morrison and Sheamus was fun too. Everything after was just too slow and didn't exactly deliver.

WWE is extremely afraid of turning Cena heel so they "fire" him instead. Oooookay then. Not sure if I should bother with RAW tomorrow. Will probably just stick with Kings/Sens.

I'll have my full review tomorrow or maybe tonight. I need to get my head together.

WWE's writing is as bad as WCW's was at the end, and that isn't a good thing. Just saw the clip of Natalya winning the Divas title, that was probably the markout highlight of the night.

    My (extremely not-in-depth) Review:

Daniel Bryan vs Dibiase - Great match to start the show off, fun to watch, great wrestling.

Morrison vs Sheamus - Solid, no complaints. The more I see Sheamus, the more I like him.

Ziggler vs Kaval - I think I was making pizza during this one or something, because I don't remember one minute of it.

Team Mysterio vs Team Del Rio - I guess this one was originally supposed to be a best-of-3 falls match between Mysterio and Del Rio? Damn Rey's ear, but at least that led to a traditional Survivor Series match. It wasn't terrible, but it just kind of.... ended. Thought Del Rio would come back out since he wasn't really eliminated. Really injured, maybe? It was entertaining enough.

Natalya vs Lay Cool - Pretty good, I like everything Hart-related, so it was good to see Natalya win and Beth come back out. Based on the looks and camera angles, I bet they're going to go with a Beth/Natalya feud shortly, which could work out really well if they actually give it a chance.

    But they won't.

Kane vs Edge - Painfully slow, let the yawning commence. Holy crap, I had to check my remote to see if I hit the SloMo button. Lamest ending of the night, hands down. Best part was Edge throwing Kane through the wall in the wheelchair. Will Kane be able to pull off a TLC match w/ Edge?

Gabriel/Slater vs Santino/Kozlov - Eh... entertaining enough, I guess. Just a time waster until the final match.

Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett - How cool would it have been if after all the drama and theories leading up to what Cena would do, Barrett would have just won it cleanly? Oh well.

Again, really slow match, but not terrible. I'm not buying the Cena-is-Fired thing for a second. I'm interested to see where they go with it...

Final Thought: Reveal the ****ing mystery GM already. What was the point of the podium, to remind us what we already knew?

Of course Cole has a Bobby Heenan style orgasm on air (sort of like when Ric Flair won the 92 Royal Rumble and with it the WWE title)

Check it out at 3:45, one pissed off girl....Better to have Miz carrying the gold than Barrett.
