Cena is back to Smackdown....Horray!
The main even is Cole vs Ross? So the whole world can see Cole's Mickey Mouse tats and Marty McFly physique.
Correction....not the main event, but Cole making fun of anyone's weight is cheap heel heat. Nice boiler there. They actually wasted 10 minutes for that crap? Just bring Stone Cold out there, give Cole the stunner and be done with it!
A few notes... A few notes on Edge and the WWE Draft..
I apologize for not writing a Wrestlemania XXVII or RAW/Smackdown recaps. Just been caught up with too much stuff. I would definitely give that PPV a 8/10 score though. Like I mentioned before, the lack of MITB match hurt the PPV and the Cole/Lawler match was terrible.
What else happened in between WM and Extreme Rules? A lot! The biggest story of them all was Edge retiring. I'm glad Edge knew when enough was enough. Let's see what he accomplished total.

There are still tons of stuff to list, but I just listed the important ones. Thanks Edge.
Another big story is the WWE Draft. With Edge's retirement, it was said that WWE "panicked" and wanted the draft earlier than expected.
The draft was pretty pointless. When they were building towards Wrestlemania, the superstars showed up on whatever show they wanted. We constantly saw Edge, Alberto Del Rio, and Undertaker on RAW. We saw HHH and Randy Orton on Smackdown.
I'll make a quick run down of the Draft and give my thoughts as to what they can bring to their respective shows.
#1 - John Cena to Smackdown. This was suppose to "shock the world" but there was nothing random about this draft pick. A good start though for ratings to keep people tuned in.
#2 - Rey Mysterio to RAW. I have mixed thoughts about this move. They drafted Rey to RAW before and it didn't work out. This was when Smackdown was still on CW/MyNetworkTV or whatever when more of a Hispanic audience would watch Smackdown than RAW. This is why they moved Rey Mysterio back to Smackdown and it gave them a boost in ratings. With Smackdown now on Syfy, it probably makes no difference anymore so having him on RAW is fine.
#3 - Randy Orton to Smackdown. Good move. Orton has been on RAW for way too long. I'm not sure who he can feud with on Smackdown. Maybe Wade Barrett, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes? There are practically no top heels on Smackdown.
#4 - Mark Henry to Smackdown. He turned heel when he got drafted to Smackdown, so maybe he can be a "top heel". Highly doubt that coming from Mark Henry.
#5 - Sin Cara to Smackdown. Didn't care for this "draft pick". Sin Cara debuted 3-4 weeks ago. He appeared on BOTH SHOWS.Only thing I like about this move is that it keeps Mysterio and Cara away from each other for the time being.
#6 - Big Show to RAW. Big Show gets moved every year in the draft. Getting old here. He'll still show up on Smackdown because he has the Tag Belts with Kane.
#7 - Alberto Del Rio to RAW. Good move, but like I said, they already had Alberto Del Rio on RAW for months now leading up to Wrestlemania.
#8 - John Cena to RAW. So Cena stays on RAW. Good for him.
#9 - Daniel Bryan to Smackdown. I really like this move because Smackdown focuses more on wrestling. Ever since Daniel Bryan dropped the US Title, he hasn't been on TV. This move will benefit him.
#10 - Jack Swagger to RAW. I don't mind this move too much. They didn't do anything with him ever since he lost the World Heavyweight Title. Michael Cole is on both shows anyway, so having Swagger on RAW will suit him just fine. They really need to stop making him look so silly though.
#11 - The Great Khali to Smackdown. Happens every year. Big Show goes to one brand, Khali will go to another.
#12 - Jimmy Uso to Smackdown. Who cares?
#13 - Kelly Kelly to RAW. The hottest diva goes back to RAW. Not sure who she can feud with. Bella Twins?
#14 - JTG to RAW. Who cares?
#15 - Alicia Fox to Smackdown. Poor Alicia Fox lost her push when she said she wanted to be the "Undefined Divas Champion".
#16 - William Regal to Smackdown. What's the point? Regal doesn't wrestle anymore.
#17 - Yoshi Tatsu to Smackdown. Okay...? He'll still be on WWE Superstars only.
#18 - Drew McIntyre to RAW. I like this move because Drew needs a change. Unfortunately, he'll get buried by other top faces on RAW such as Cena, Mysterio, Morrison, and HHH.
#19 - Natalya to Smackdown. When was the last time she was on TV?
#20 - Curt Hawkins to RAW. This guy BARELY appeared on Superstars.
#21 - Chris Masters to RAW.
#22 - Jey Uso to Smackdown. Who cares?
#23 - Kofi Kingston to RAW. Pretty good move for him. I'm not sure who he pissed off on Smackdown because he could not win a match at all.
#24 - Ted DiBiase to Smackdown - I love this move, especially if they put him on TV. Look what Smackdown has done for Cody Rhodes. Hopefully Ted DiBiase gets a shot.
#25 - Tyson Kidd to Smackdown. He's on the same boat as Ted. All he needs is a chance to shine.
#26 - Tamina to Smackdown. Don't care.
#27 - Tyler Reks to RAW.
#28 - Alex Riley to Smackdown. So they split him up with The Miz. I don't quite understand this move since A-Ri never got "signed" as a wrestler. He was hired by The Miz personally, yet he got drafted.
#29 - Beth Phoenix to RAW. Haven't seen her on TV for a long time either.
#30 - Sheamus to Smackdown. Good move as well. Sheamus is one of the few who never really appeared on Smackdown.
WWE Extreme Rules PPV Predictions WWE Extreme Rules PPV Predictions
Time for another PPV and it's Extreme Rules! I'm not excited at all about this PPV so that probably means it'll be a good show. It's usually the ones you don't care for that ends up to be solid.
Falls Count Anywhere Match: Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes
Good feud here continuing from Wrestlemania. Cody Rhodes still hasn't forgiven Rey for breaking his nose despite defeating him at Wrestlemania. Cody took it to the next level with paper bags and he has put it on Rey a few times.
This feud has reached the end of the ropes though. Cody Rhodes has really improved his character here. I just don't see him winning again. He already got the bigger win at Mania. This one will go to Rey Mysterio.
My Prediction: Rey Mysterio by pinfall.
Loser leaves WWE Match: Michelle McCool vs Layla
Remember how they teased the LayCool breakup and then it went away because WWE got Snooki to participate in Wrestlemania? Well, this break up is back. Michelle says she's sick and tired of carrying Layla. Layla's defense is that Michelle got injured and she had to do all the fighting.
Layla even took Michelle to couples counseling but it didn't work.
News have spread like wildfire that Michelle is actually quitting WWE. This match was originally a "Loser leaves Smackdown" match but not anymore. Look for Layla to win. Hopefully, we get a really good Divas match for a change since it's Michelle's final match.
My Prediction: Layla by pinfall.
Last Man Standing Match: Randy Orton vs CM Punk
The New Nexus is back and they can interfere in this match since it's a Last Man Standing Match. I don't see Punk losing this one at all either since Orton has beaten him and the New Nexus so many times.
Punk is due for a victory and tonight will be it.
My Prediction: CM Punk by pinfall.
Country Whipping Match: Michael Cole & Jack Swagger vs Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross
I believe Cole and Swagger had the upper hand on Jim Ross and Lawler on RAW. Besides, who doesn't want to see Cole get whipped here? Look for the faces to win here and hopefully Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, and Michael Cole don't have to "wrestle" ever again.
My Prediction: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.
World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match: Christian vs Alberto Del Rio
This is the only match I'm looking forward to on the PPV. One of my all time favorites, Christian goes head to head against one of my new favorite, Alberto Del Rio.
Tough choice here but I'm going to have to root for Christian. I REALLY want to see him win the World Heavyweight Title for the first time in his career. He deserves it. Vince McMahon however, doesn't have faith in him.
Alberto Del Rio was my lock to win this.. until he got drafted to RAW. With the WWE Title already on RAW, I can't see them bringing the World Title to RAW as well. It's still a possibility though because both the IC (Wade Barrett) and US (Sheamus) Title are on Smackdown right now.
Remember when Eddie Guerrero passed away and they put the title on Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio? I'm hoping this is the same situation where Edge is forced to retire, so why not make his best friend Christian a champion?
Having Alberto Del Rio lose this one wouldn't hurt him either because Christian is more "experienced" in Ladder matches anyway.
My Prediction: Christian wins the World Heavyweight Championship.
Triple Threat Steel Cage WWE Championship Match: John Morrison vs John Cena vs The Miz (WWE Champion)
Technically, this is the only title defended on a PPV.. weird. =o
Right off the bat, I'm going to say Morrison has no chance in hell winning this match. R-Truth was suppose to be in this match but Morrison took the spot from him, which made R-Truth turn heel. I can definitely Morrison look like he's about to escape the cage but then R-Truth will somehow cost Morrison the match.
As for John Cena... he doesn't really need the title. It would be better to keep it on The Miz to make him look stronger and stronger as a champ. What worries me is that on RAW tomorrow night, The Rock will celebrate his birthday on the show.
I can see them put the title on Cena, and then he can tease having a WWE Title match with The Rock at Wrestlemania 28.
It would be great though if they kept the title on The Miz, and then rub it in on Cena and The Rock that they wont be fighting for the title. I really want to go with The Miz here, but knowing WWE... Cena is probably winning this. Please let me be wrong!
My Prediction: John Cena wins the WWE Championship by escape.
WWE Extreme Rules PPV Review
My Review Score: 9/10
This PPV was solid from top to bottom. The only dull match was the Sir Michael Cole & Jack Swagger vs Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler one, but that was expected.
Best match of the night easily went to Christian vs Alberto Del Rio. I'm extremely happy for Christian and very surprised that Vince McMahon finally believes in him.
Overall, I went 4/6 in my predictions. I got the Punk/Orton match and JR & King vs Cole & Swagger wrong.
Last Man Standing Match: Randy Orton vs CM Punk
CM Punk needed a win badly and he did not get it again. The RAW GM banned the New Nexus from ringside here. The match was good for the most part. The big downside with Last Man Standing matches is that there is too much waiting around.
I also didn't like how the ref was screaming especially loud this time around when he was counting. The main weapon used in this match was a Kendo Stick.
Punk had the upper hand early in the match. Orton fought back numerous times and even RKOed Punk on the announce table (but it didn't break). In the end, Punk was caught on the top turnbuckle and Orton went crazy on him with the Kendo Stick. Orton followed it up with an RKO off the top rope to keep Punk down for the 10 count.
Final Result: Randy Orton by KO.
I don't understand where they're going with Punk and the New Nexus. I understand that you want to push Orton to be a complete monster and that when he's "in the zone", nothing can stop him. But Punk really needed the win here.
Remember when Cena punked Nexus over and over? Orton is doing the same thing with the New Nexus AND Punk.
United States Championship Tables Match: Sheamus (United States Champion) vs Kofi Kingston
They added this match to the card and it was surprisingly entertaining as hell. As you already know, Sheamus got drafted to Smackdown and Kofi got drafted to RAW. I mentioned in my predictions already that Smackdown had BOTH the US and Intercontinental Titles... so that only means one thing. The US Title is going back to RAW.
Both men looked solid here. Kofi really got to show his athletic abilities here by jumping in odd places to avoid the tables. In the end, Kofi had a huge flying leap off the top turnbuckle onto Sheamus. Sheamus did a good job in catching him to go through the table.
Final Result: Kofi Kingston wins the United States Championship.
Falls Count Anywhere Match: Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes
Awesome match again. I would say this was the 2nd best match of the night. The action spilled outside the ring and all the way into the crowd and concourse. Cody and Rey took some big bumps in the concourse and it was great to see. When they got back into the ring, that was when Rey started getting the upper hand.
The finish was bizarre though. Rey Mysterio sprayed some kind of green mist (like Tajiri did) to get the upper hand so he could hit the 619 and springboard splash to win. Mathews and Booker tried to play it off as if it was okay for a face to cheat here because it's "Extreme Rules".
Either way, I don't mind the finish too much. Cody got his well deserved victory at Wrestlemania and Rey Mysterio got one here at Extreme Rules.
Final Result: Rey Mysterio by pinfall.
Country Whipping Match: Sir Michael Cole & Jack Swagger vs Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler
This match was brutal... but it served its purpose I guess. Each "wrestler" (no offense Jack Swagger) had a whip in their hand. They were able to swing it freely while fighting a regular match.
Michael Cole was hilarious though. He came out in bubble wrap but Jerry Lawler tore it apart rather easily.
Swagger fought most of the match against Lawler (which shouldn't surprise anyone). Jim Ross did get to whip Michael Cole around a little, and it was fun to see. Jim Ross even got the Ankle Lock in on Michael Cole!
The finish came though when Jim Ross had to fend off Swagger's distraction and Michael Cole rolled up Jim Ross to win. Now Michael Cole is 2-0.
Final Result: Sir Michael Cole & Jack Swagger by pinfall.
No DQ & No Countout Loser Leaves WWE Match: Layla vs Michelle McCool
Solid Divas match for once. A good final match for Michelle. The two divas took turns taking over on offense. Michelle got her Faithbreaker countered the 1st time but then she hit it the 2nd time but Layla kicked out.
The finish came though when Michelle went for a lazy cover and Layla reversed it to get the victory. After the match, Layla was in tears because she made her former BFF quit WWE.
After Layla left, Awesome Kong finally debuts. Her ring name in the WWE is Kharma.
Michelle stupidly stayed in the ring and didn't try to escape until Kharma entered it. By then, it was way too late. Kharma used some kind of modified brainbuster on Michelle and that was it.
Final Result: Layla by pinfall.
World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match: Christian vs Alberto Del Rio
Best match of the night. These two really put everything on the line and took some serious bumps.
Christian got cut early (right side of his stomach) when he fell backwards onto the steel steps. It's hard to describe but these two took lots of bumps and really gave it their all.
Come to think of it, not once did Alberto Del Rio come close to winning the title until the very end. Christian got to the top the most in this match. Brodus Clay eventually interfered but Christian got rid of him. Brodus Clay was bleeding profusely too (and so was Christian). They stalled a little while the refs cleaned up the cut on Christian's forehead but the refs forgot about Brodus Clay.
That's when Alberto Del Rio climbed the ladder, about to win the title until Edge started honking the horn of his own jeep.
This distracted Alberto Del Rio enough for Christian to push the ladder over and Alberto Del Rio landed on Ricardo Rodriguez and Brodus Clay outside the ring. Christian climbed all the way to the top to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the 1st time in his career.
Way to go Christian!!!!!!!!!!!
Final Result: Christian wins the World Heavyweight Championship.
Lumberjack WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Big Show & Kane (Tag Team Champions) vs Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson
I guess they added this match to fill up some time on the PPV. It was 7:10 PM when this match started, so it makes sense. The lumberjack was filled with people from NXT. It included some regular superstars such as Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Santino Marella, and Vladimir Kozlov.
Big Show and Kane took it to Wade Barrett early in this match until Big Zeke tagged in. Big Zeke showed his dominance in the ring and even body slammed Big Show. Ezekiel Jackson was about to "finish things" but Wade Barrett tagged himself in which pissed off Ezekiel Jackson.
Wade Barrett then got chokeslammed immediately and Big Zeke didn't bother breaking up the pinfall.
Final Result: Big Show and Kane retain the WWE Tag Team Championship by pinfall.
After the match, all the lumberjacks decided to brawl. Then Big Show and Kane gave Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater double chokeslams.
Threat Threat Steel Cage WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs John Morrison vs The Miz (WWE Champion)
This match was above average. The pacing started a little too slow for my liking but it picked up after a few minutes. The Miz was working extremely hard in this match trying to keep his WWE Title. He had to go from end to end to prevent Morrison and Cena from escaping the cage.
There were some nice spots with Morrison throughout the match that made him look like a contender. The finish came when both Cena and Miz were down. Morrison crawled towards the open cage door but R-Truth attacked Morrison.
Truth really pummeled Morrison and even attacked Cena for good measure. R-Truth then climbed out of the cage with all 3 men down and out to send a message that he would be WWE Champion right now.
After Truth left, Miz and Cena fought in a 1 on 1 match while Morrison acted like he died. Cena eventually gave The Miz and Attitude Adjustment off the top turnbuckle and got the pinfall victory to win the WWE Title for the 10th time in his career.
Final Result: John Cena wins the WWE Championship by pinfall.
Overall, I really wish they would have kept the belt on The Miz. Cena already has his deal with The Rock but with his birthday bash tonight on RAW, I guess they really wanted Cena to tease having a title match with The Rock at Wrestlemania XXVIII.
Of course we know Cena won't hold it until then so hopefully The Miz or Alberto Del Rio can win it soon.
WWE Over the Limit PPV Predictions WWE Over the Limit PPV Predictions
It's that time of the month again... a WWE PPV! The card looks somewhat bland on paper, but hopefully we get a good show out of it. Since I haven't had much time lately to keep up with RAW and Smackdown reviews, I'll do my best to summarize the feuds leading up to each match.
Sin Cara vs Chavo Guerrero
Chavo Guerrero on a PPV? Hell yeah!
This feud isn't really much of a feud. Chavo showed up on commentary the last few weeks on Smackdown telling people that Sin Cara is following in his footsteps. When Sin Cara fought Daniel Bryan 2 weeks ago (terrific match by the way), Chavo interfered to help Sin Cara win.
Sin Cara didn't realize that Chavo helped him win until he saw the replay, in which he shoved Chavo in anger. Last Friday Night, Chavo said he could do better than Sin Cara. He said he will defeat Daniel Bryan in 5 minutes. Chavo did come close though, but Daniel Bryan kicked out of the 3 Amigos and the Five-Star Frog Splash before time expired. After the match, Sin Cara came out to attack Chavo.
As for the match itself... I think it has HUGE potential. If WWE allows Chavo and Sin Cara to work a 10-15 minute match, I think they can steal the show easily. Chavo is a great wrestler and he has shown that he is capable of wrestling at a "high level" if he's taken seriously. The only downside for Chavo is that he's been in one too many comic relief appearances with Hornswoggle and therefore, people won't care about this match as much as they should.
There is no way Chavo wins here though. Sin Cara is the new superstar (who is also extremely popular) and needs the win more. Sure, Chavo needs a win... but another loss for him isn't going to derail his career any further because we have Hornswoggle to thank for that.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Big Show & Kane (WWE Tag Team Champions) vs CM Punk & Mason Ryan
This is a last ditch effort for WWE to try and redeem the credibility of the New Nexus. As you may already know, Cena single-handily punked the original Nexus and then Randy Orton did the same to the New Nexus.
CM Punk himself lost match after match even without New Nexus around. Then suddenly, on last week's RAW... CM Punk said he wanted to show the WWE Universe that the New Nexus is still a threat. So they had CM Punk defeat Kofi Kingston. Then later in the night, they had David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty defeat Big Show and Kane!
If McGillicutty and Otunga can beat Big Show and Kane, what makes you think Punk and Ryan won't do the same? The main point of this match is to "rejuvenate" the New Nexus... and that's why I think the New Nexus will be the new Tag Team Champions.
As for Big Show and Kane, it doesn't really matter if they win this or not. They're both constantly booked as "giants" anyway, so they won't look weak either way.
My Prediction: CM Punk & Mason Ryan win the WWE Tag Team Championship by pinfall.
R-Truth vs Rey Mysterio
Ugh... I really don't care about this match at all.
Now let's see... this match happened because the RAW GM didn't include R-Truth in a Triple Threat #1 Contender's match on RAW. The RAW GM picked Mysterio, Del Rio, and The Miz. So R-Truth took his anger out on the only face in that match, Rey Mysterio.
R-Truth is being pushed right now. Storyline wise, he feels that there is some conspiracy going against him. This is honestly his time to shine. But the reason I'm so put-off by R-Truth is because he is TERRIBLE on the mic. Way too much pausing in between everything he says. The delivery is just way off. =\
For the match itself, the only "right way" to go about this is to have R-Truth win. Probably won't be clean, but he'll pick up the victory. I can still see Rey winning here, and R-Truth can complain some more, but really... R-Truth winning would help him more than it would help Rey.
My Prediction: R-Truth by pinfall.
Divas Championship Match: Brie Bella (Divas Champion) w/Nikki Bella vs Kelly Kelly
Let's see who Kharma has destroyed so far.

- Alicia Fox
- Eve
- Layla
- Nikki Bella
I figured Nikki would be "out" but she was on Smackdown with Brie, so I'll expect her to be ringside for this match.
It looks like they're teasing a Kelly Kelly vs Kharma feud. It doesn't quite make sense, considering Beth Phoenix or Natalya would be a better "match up". Hell, Gail Kim would be great because she had a bunch of matches with Kharma on TNA.
But WWE is going with Kelly Kelly it seems. I think at Over the Limit, Kelly Kelly will win her first ever title. Then I will expect Kharma to come out and destroy the twins.
My Prediction: Kelly Kelly wins the Divas Championship by pinfall.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Wade Barrett (Intercontinental Champion) w/The Corre vs Ezekiel Jackson
This match is somewhat interesting. If you weren't following, The Corre has excommunicated with Big Zeke.
Basically, The Corre has been losing for weeks now individually and they're all placing blame on each other. They teased a breakup between everyone, but then suddenly that went away.
When Big Zeke won a match by himself, he walked away from The Corre instead of celebrating with them. Wade Barrett took offense to this and he got Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater to attack Big Zeke backstage.
Ezekiel Jackson said on Friday Night Smackdown that he wanted to make an impact when he came to Smackdown, which was why he joined The Corre. He then said that he didn't need The Corre and that it was The Corre that needed him.
Wade Barrett challenged him to a match but oddly enough, Heath Slater added in, "So you're putting up the Intercontinental Title too right?". So that's how we have a title match.
This match is much more important for Big Zeke because he needs to win. They've been pushing him as a monster who can body slam Big Show and all that. The Corre will probably try to interfere here and fail. Look for Ezekiel Jackson to add the Intercontinental Championship under his resume in impressive fashion.
My Prediction: Ezekiel Jackson wins the Intercontinental Championship by pinfall.
Kiss My Foot Match: Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole
There's a stipulation to this match as well. If Michael Cole defeats Jerry Lawler... then Jerry will have to give Cole his Hall of Fame ring as well as being the guy to induct him into the Hall of Fame.
Let's be realistic. This feud has gone on WAY too long. It was funny heading to Wrestlemania because everyone expected Cole to get his ass whupped... and he did. But on a technicality, he "won" the match. Then at Extreme Rules, in a Country Whipping Match, he won again.
The feud won't end until Cole loses, but even then... Cole might still brag about how he has 2 wins over Jerry while Jerry only has 1.
I've called for this feud to end for 2 months now. Unfortunately, I still don't see it happening. Michael Cole will win yet again.
My Prediction: Michael Cole makes Jerry Lawler kiss his foot.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton (World Heavyweight Champion) vs Christian
Christian won the title at Extreme Rules. He loses it "5 days" later on Smackdown. Many people (including me) were upset about the booking decision. We all know Vince McMahon doesn't have faith in Christian as the World Champ.
What's funny is that Orton, Jim Ross, Jericho, Christian have all responded to the "backlash" on Twitter that this was a start of the 2nd reign for Christian. Obviously, we all hope that is the case. It's too bad that I don't have faith in the WWE to carry out a decent storyline.
What I want is for Christian to eventually turn heel. He should be blaming the WWE Universe for making him defend the title against Orton and blaming Teddy Long for making a match.
Instead, we have Christian praising Teddy Long for "making a match" that everyone wanted to see. Here we have Christian saying that he can beat Orton at 100%. Orton wants to face Christian at 100%, but he said that if Christian was only 99% healthy.. he wouldn't win.
It also seems like Sheamus and Mark Henry are in the "title hunt". So expect interference from them maybe.
In case you guys don't know, Orton has turned into a Super Cena now. Christian will likely control most of the match, but then just expect Orton to hit an RKO out of nowhere to retain the title.
WWE Championship "I Quit" Match: John Cena (WWE Champion) vs The Miz w/Alex Riley
The "I Quit" matches seem to be Cena's specialty. If I'm not mistaken, Cena is 4-0 in "I Quit" matches.
I really liked what they've done with The Miz. He's solidified as a main eventer thanks to his 5 month title reign... so I think having him lose here wouldn't hurt one bit.
They have also teased a breakup between The Miz and Alex Riley too. The Miz has gotten mad at A-Ri for not being able to do anything right. Oh, remember also that Alex Riley has been drafted to Smackdown, but he kept showing up on RAW anyway because The Miz personally hired him.
I can see A-Ri screwing up somehow and costing The Miz a victory. There will need to be something here that causes The Miz to lose for sure. I don't see Cena dropping the title this quickly. If he's going to drop it, I think he's going to have to lose the title to Alberto Del Rio.
My Prediction: John Cena retains the WWE Title.
SuperCena pissed off many. He should have less fans now.

My Review Score: 5/10
Going into the PPV, this was either going to be a hit or a miss. It turned out to be a swing and a miss.
The best match in my opinion was Christian vs Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The worst match was easily John Cena vs The Miz for the WWE Championship.
Everything else in between was average/below average.
Overall, I went 5-3 in my predictions.
R-Truth vs Rey Mysterio
When this match opened the PPV, I was afraid that Rey Mysterio will win the match to get the crowd going. Thankfully, it didn't happen.
The match was okay. I honestly wasn't into this one because I'm not a fan of Rey Mysterio or R-Truth. I'm starting to like R-Truth's new character though. The constantly talking to himself, mentally unstable, thinks it's a conspiracy type of guy. I just wish he would stop hesitating when he talks on the mic. There's no flow to it when he talks. =\ I can't tell if that's intentional or it's something he needs to work on.
Rey Mysterio got his usual offensive moves in this game, but R-Truth controlled most of the match. Rey went for a 619 but failed. R-Truth surprisingly won cleanly for a heel.
Truth won with his new finishing move, which reminds me of Shelton Benjamin's finisher called "Paydirt".
Final Result: R-Truth by pinfall.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Wade Barrett (Intercontinental Champion) w/The Corre vs Ezekiel Jackson
This match was pretty good. Two big men with bright futures in the company. The crowd was kind of dead for this one, and that will hurt any match.
Wade Barrett really held his own here without The Corre. Big Zeke debuted somewhat of a new move in this match. He will get in a zone, and deliver body slams after body slams. This is when the crowd woke up. Ezekiel Jackson delivered 5 body slams in a row and the crowd roars in approval. I can't recall the last time that happened with a body slam.
When Big Zeke went for his new submission move, the Torture Rack... Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater ran in and attacked him, giving Big Zeke the DQ win.
I only got half of this prediction right. I thought they would give the Intercontinental Title to Big Zeke and see where he takes it. But it looks like WWE wants to keep the belt on Wade Barrett longer yet allow Big Zeke to look strong at the same time.
After the match, The Corre laid out Big Zeke.
My Prediction: Ezekiel Jackson wins by DQ.
Sin Cara vs Chavo Guerrero
I'm starting to hate Sin Cara matches because the lighting they use ruins it for me. They dim down the lights to Sin Cara's colors... blue and yellowish. Why are they doing this? Is it because...
#1 - He botches a lot of moves and the darker lighting covers up his flaws?
or
#2 - His matches would stand out since he's a new superstar?
Oh well. The match was alright. Some moves looked terrible but mostly because Sin Cara tries to do too much. It kind of reminds me of a TNA match where the superstars go over the top with crazy moves trying to impress people. It definitely looks flashy, but using it too much takes away the effectiveness of the move at the same time.
I have to give major props to Chavo though because he showed that he can be a major player in the WWE. He just needs to be taken more seriously.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Big Show & Kane (WWE Tag Team Champions) vs CM Punk & Mason Ryan

This match was extremely average and made me question the booking. I said in my predictions that I felt this was a last chance for the New Nexus to look somewhat threatening again. Unfortunately for them, they got destroyed.
Mason Ryan got in some moves and so did CM Punk. But overall, they looked really bad. Big Show and Kane are monsters, we get that already. Squashing the New Nexus proves nothing.. especially considering what happened on RAW the following night.
Final Result: Big Show and Kane retain the WWE Tag Team Championship by pinfall.
Divas Championship Match: Brie Bella (Divas Champion) w/Nikki Bella vs Kelly Kelly
Ugh... just when I thought the Divas division had some potential again..
This match was a standard Divas match you'll normally see on RAW and Smackdown. This match lasted under 4 minutes and was extremely underwhelming.
Kelly Kelly got destroyed here by Brie Bella. When Kelly Kelly got some offense in, Brie did the switch with Nikki, which they call "Twin Magic". Nikki then picked up the win to help Brie retain the Divas Championship.
Final Result: Nikki Bella retains the Divas Championship for Brie Bella by pinfall.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Randy Orton (World Heavyweight Champion) vs Christian
Great match! This one definitely stole the show and stood out as the best match of the night.
The crowd had been dead for most of the PPV but really came alive for this match. Tons of "Let's go Randy" and "Christian" chants. I'd say the crowd was about 60% in favor of Christian and 40% in favor of Orton.
These two worked extremely well together and wrestled the match perfectly. They really "told the story" by reversing certain moves because they "scouted" each other.
Christian's Killswitch looked pretty weak in this match though because Orton countered out of it every single time. It also looks like Christian added Edge's Spear to his moveset. Tons of near falls in the match, but Orton eventually won with an RKO after reversing the Killswitch.
Final Result: Randy Orton retained the World Heavyweight Championship by pinfall.
Kiss My Foot Match: Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole
This match sucked. Unfortunately, for those of us who watched this match, we knew that going in.
Cole came out in a suit and said he had a doctor's note saying that he couldn't compete in this match. He was "excused" because his foot is so nasty, it would give Jerry Lawler some kind of disease when Cole sticks his foot down his throat.
The ref looked at the note and tore it up.
Lawler really took it to Cole in this match. I have to give Michael Cole a ton of credit for learning how to take bumps and for willing to get his ass kicked. Cole fought back a little but it wasn't enough. Thankfully, this match was kept under 3 minutes. It was just the segment that followed that took up a lot of time... but it was fun to watch!
First, Eve came out to give Cole a moonsault. This happened because Cole constantly interrupted Divas matches saying no one cared about it.
Second, Jim Ross came out and he poured his BBQ Sauce all over Cole.
Third, Bret Hart came out to everyone's surprise! Bret gave Cole the Sharpshooter and Jerry stuck his toe in Cole's mouth. Pretty nasty segment but everyone loved it. I personally enjoyed it myself and I'm a Cole Miner!
Final Result: Jerry Lawler by pinfall.
WWE Championship "I Quit" Match: John Cena (WWE Champion) vs The Miz w/Alex Riley
Jim Ross did commentary for the main event. Unfortunately for him... he had the honor of calling the worst match of the night.
Before The Miz started, he got on the microphone and said that Alex Riley was free to participate in this match since it's No DQ. I personally liked that Alex Riley got involved in this one from the start. I never understood the logic where a heel's "manager" never really interferes unless he really had to, even in a No DQ match.
So having Alex Riley practically wrestle the match from the start was good to see. Basically for Cena, this was a 2 on 1 handicapped match.
This is where the match SUCKED. Cena got destroyed in this match for 25 minutes. Not once did he fight back. Guess what happened? Cena won in 1 minute.
The match was slow and unbearable. I understand the concept of the "I Quit" match, but did we really need the ref to ask Cena if he wanted to quit every 15 seconds?
When Cena refused to quit, they even did the Mick Foley/The Rock 1999 thing where Alex Riley had a recorded message of Cena saying "I Quit" on his phone.
The ref rang the bell and The Miz celebrated the title win while Riley conveniently dropped his phone next to Cena. The ref checked on Cena and saw the phone and reversed the decision yet again. He ordered the match to restart and that's when Super Cena came to life.
Keep in mind that Miz and Riley did a number on Cena for 25 minutes! The match restarted, and Cena put A-Ri through the announce table. He attacked The Miz and took off his belt. The Miz ran to the stage with Cena chasing him and whipping him. Cena got 7-8 shots in on The Miz and gave him the STF. The Miz immediately said "I Quit".
How lame is that?
It's one thing to have it back and forth and then The Miz eventually quits... but it's another thing to have him lose in 1 minute. WWE has done such a great job in making The Miz look like a legitimate WWE Champion. Now The Miz won't ever be taken seriously again. =\
Final Result: John Cena retains the WWE Title.
