I was having a problem and wondered if anyone could help. I get this error message when I try to play BF3. Here are my specs:
Windows 7 home
8 GB ram
EVGA GTX 550 Ti 2 GB Video Card
Intel i7 quad core @ 3.06 Ghz processor

Go get the latest video card drivers from NVIDIA and make sure you are patched to everything recent in Windows. That error is saying the video card is running out of RAM, which with 2GB on card seems suspect.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

This game is so good that I was finally able to get my wife to trade in Black Ops and get this game. She was so turned off by past Battlefield games that I was amazed that she would come back. Except for the first week of launch there hasn't been many issues playing online in a squad.

Not that hard to believe. My wife used to play MW2 before we were robbed. Hell, she had her own Xbox, too!
