Best of Decade talk
I was reading this story in our papers up here the other day:
CANOE -- JAM! Best of the Decade: The best of the decade in gaming
Covers all the points (and has a few Canadian-centric items) but I would disagree with the order of all the item lists. Also seemed to be grasping for some #8-10 items on the Developer & Innovation lists.
RE4 would be my #1 of the decade. I'm going to have to spend a while thinking about what other games I've played in the last ten years to get a top 10 list.
For this year:
1. Uncharted 2
2. Killzone 2
3. Left for Dead 2
4. Assassin's Creed 2
5. Batman Arkham Asylum
Most everything on that list seems to be console games....
I'm really surprised the Splinter Cell franchise got no love. Easily the best series for me in the 2000s.
Agree 1000%. That was the first thing I saw missing from the list. Its a shame. SC was ground breaking.

Ubisoft Montreal (Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell) was #1 developer.

Halo, Bioshock, and I'd even say The Sims should all be ranked higher. I'm probably also in the minority that thinks HL2 is overrated. Further, any list that doesn't have WoW on there isn't doing their job. Over a billion in revenue every year for a game that is several years old is doing something right.
