I use walls and crates as cover ALL the time, what are you referring too? Just make sure the walls and crates are thick enough to stop a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle as a lot of high level players have them already!

I have not completed the "shoot someone through a wall/cover" challenge yet and I shoot at them all the time (I only have the starting sniper rifles though). They can definitely be used for cover, just choose the right ones.

I take it you have not played Rainbow Six Vegas. It has a great way to take cover behind walls and crates. I like it, might have to try gears of war. Anybody originally from the old school Rainbow Six's? I loved how tactical they were but I really dig the new run and gun Vegas too.



R6 Vegas is a FPS but when you take cover it switches to 3rd person. Then you can fire from behind cover.

Rainbow Six Vegas is a GREAT game. I had a lot of fun playing that one. If you like their cover system then yes...go buy Gears of War now.

Not sure why you thought that, I don't need a special way to take cover just crouch behind a low obstacle.

Have you played Rainbow Six? If not never mind, I guess from what I heard it is like Gears. I just like how that cover system works that's all. I am not saying Call of Duty is a bad game, I just have been playing a lot of Vegas I got use to it.

Looks like I have to pick up Gears for my lappy. Anybody have it for PC? If you do can you co-op campaign? PC games need more co-op campaign, I was hoping that Kane and Lynch was going to be awesome.. oh well.

By the way. I HATE the COD sniper level (Hardened). I am waiting for the damn helicopter with McMillan. Damn does it suck.

I played the original R6 a ****ing TON. They got progressively worse up until R6: Vegas, which wasn't as cool as the original, but was a fantastic game in it's own right. I have Gears on PC, but uninstalled it in favor of the bunch of games that have come out since then, Gears takes up like 11 gigs, played through it twice along with a bunch of MP before I uninstalled though.
