play free for all (most kills to win) if that's how you want to do it.

There are random matches, I prefer private with my friends, we pick the map and all the rules, and now we have COOP which is amazing.

I prefer team deathmatch and capture the flag, never found those kill everyone you see modes worth anything. Teamwork is so much more....rewarding.

Thanks PPharoah. Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag, I do like those modes too. I just remembered in Halo 3 (and other online games) can be filled with douchebags too. I love to grab the flag and "win it" for my team. But a few times in Halo 3, someone on my team would just Team Kill me, just so he can get the flag back to base and get his "stats".

The COOP campaign was worth the purchase price for me, you can go COOP and get the online perks with a friend through the story campaign. As you said "I just remembered in Halo 3 (and other online games) can be filled with douchebags too." See with COOP you don't have to worry about it! Yes you are playing against the AI, BUT in this version the AI seems to adapt amazingly well to battlefield conditions. For instance, I was about to toss a grenade up a ramp where I thought some baddies were and my AI comrades went running up the ramp. I thought "Oh no!" No problem in COD:WAW, my guys saw me throw the grenade and came running back so they weren't near the blast radius! TIP:remember to cook your grenades before throwing them as the AI is smart enough to toss them back at you!

The story campaign is disturbing in some parts as war should be, Kiefer Sutherland did an amazing job and it's intense with a partner.

Make sure you watch the end credits roll as there is something special afterwards that warrants your attention:):drinking:
