Should I get this? I've never played a Call of Duty game before... is this kind of like Halo 3? I'm talking about online play specifically. Do you get matched up with random people, get thrown in a map, and try to get the most kills to win?
Dude... I was a huge Halo devotee. When I first played Call of Duty 4, I hated it. But once I realized they were totally different styles of games, I became hooked on Call of Duty 4. I put in over 160 hours online. Still, that's just a drop in the bucket compared to some people.

Point is, I could barely even go back to Halo. It's a great game, but Call of Duty is just infinitely superior. The new one has the same multiplayer, just with different weapons and stuff. Brilliant game. At the very least, rent it. You owe it to yourself to try it out.

COD5 would be more fun if the guns weren't so ****ing weak. I miss the M16, AK47, and MP5 from COD4.

I guess once you find a weapon that you like, the game becomes easier to manage. My favorite is the Type 100 SMG with ammo barrel. Has moderate range and it's great for running-and-gunning.

Here's a little funny for you guys:

Keeping in mind my parents were of the "play sports" or "study" variety, my brother and I didn't grow up with video games at all. AT ALL.

So, my good buddy Darby brings over whatever game system thing he has with COD 4, I think it was. And I get the tutorial on what you have to do and all. By the time he was done explaining what all the buttons on the controller do, I'm already confused. So he puts the game on some sort of "tutorial" thing so I can practice walking and shooting and whatnot...

And I can't even walk. My hand-eye coordination is so bad, it's hilarious. I kept walking into walls, and for some reason, I always ended up looking at the floor. At one point though, he had his little character just standing there so I could walk up and try to shoot him, and I swear to god my little man ended up doing this odd, crouching little crab walk and I laughed so hard I couldn't even try to play anymore.

I doubt I'll give it another shot cuz I'll just end up laughing too hard.

I'm the same way. Completely video-game impaired.

Guitar Hero, k&t. Ya might wanna try Guitar Hero.

'Cause your guy doesn't have to walk anywhere.

Just make sure I'm at least 100 miles away at the time. Drunk fake guitar playing just isn't something my ears can handle.

I was going to say that you and I need to play against each other, but what'll happen is we'll both end up laughing so hard we'll forget what we're supposed to do.

Dude. I don't see that being any different. Maybe even worse. I'd be one of those people who'd have to look down to make sure I'm hitting the right color button and then by the time I got it and looked back up the tv would be about 20 notes past where I am, maybe even further.

me + drunk fake guitar playing = me sitting on the couch drinking, listening to the songs, while watching the screen go by and forgetting I was supposed to be doing something about it. I think you'd be safe. Unless I started drunken singing along. Although that can be kinda funny sometimes.
