Thread: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Only use headsets if you are in a party chat. Too bad there's only a few game types that allow it though.

Dunno about the "no strategy" in MP. Just like COD4, in MW2, if you play Search and Destroy, you and your team better be in sync, or you're gonna get stomped.

I'm currently up to a Llv 36 and I wear my headset for every online team deathmatch. I've had the inane ability to both lose any amount of sleep and piss my wife off at the same time, by playing 5-6-7 hour marathons of this $!@#@#$ addictive game.

I'm using the SCAR with my perks as (
PERK 1 - BLING

PERK 2 - Can't recall the name, but makes you invisible to air strikes
PERK 2 - Also can't recall name, but alternate this one as well, which makes killstreaks require 1 less kill
I rotate these two depending on the map coming up. If it's a wide open map with little cover, I'll go with the first one, since so many will call in air strikes. Smaller maps with many buildings, I'll go with the second.

PERK 3 - NINJA

Favorite Maps - Rundown (I almost ALWAYS get First Blood), Underpass (I hear so many groaning when this one comes up, but I like it, as I think I now know every nook and cranny in it, Terminal (I LOVE climbing up on top of the stairs next to the escalator and just popping people off going past the hallway). Whichever one has the old COD outdoor map with the underground bunker. I have a failsafe way of racking up kills once the bunker's attained...assuming the team is working together. Favela's pretty cool too; lots of different strategies.

Least favorite map - just one, Afghan. I HATE THIS MAP! It's just a sniping map where no one really runs around. Can't stand it!

As mentioned in earlier threads about Team Deathmatch, the teams rarely actually work in unison, BUT, if you play long enough, and know the places to go to either snipe or collect kills, you actually end up working as a team most of the time without even knowing you're actually coordinating. But I have played a few games where people were willing to cooperate and work together. If you end up in one room long enough, and the other team's have some really good guys who DO work together, that can coerce people to start teaming up.

Also, I've noticed a few LGK folks have added me. I haven't scanned this whole thread to see if it's been mentioned, but you know that if you form a clan [brackets before your screen name in multiplayer], then you are automatically assigned to the same team as your clan mates. This means the more of us playing together, the better chance of working together. Anyone from LGK done this yet? Unfortunately, all my other "friends" haven't convinced themselves to become as "addicted" to this game as I have, so I've been playing solo the whole time.

I put the [LGK] bracket in my name. I don't think we are doing anything for this game though. I think the worst map is High Rise.

I got it today. Now to find time to play it.

i just got it too...but i got the rr problem as well...i played some missions and for being the 1st cod i've purchased since cod 2, this game is insane hard

Haha, got a one burst, triple-kill with my RPD on the Afghan map...the first of those i've gotten.
My RPD has the Grip and FMJ attachments
Perks are Bling Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Commando Pro

Might as well list mine.

Maps I like:
-Sub Base (The only map I can go about 25 kills, 15 deaths in. Plus, there's something about the map that makes me feel the most comfortable in.)

-Highrise (My K/D ratio is a little over 1 in this map usually. Again, I feel "at home" with this map. Not really sure why.)

Maps that I like and hate at the same time:
-Estate (Sometimes, you get a crap load of action around the house which can be fun. I hate it at the same time because everyone only goes to that house.)

-Scrapyard (Action all over the map can make it fun. I hate this map in domination because of the noobtubers I run into in this map more often than not.)

Maps that I hate:
-Favela (People only camp in houses. And there are too many houses. Snoozefest in Team deathmatch because of all the hiding and camping)

-Afghan (Terrible map overall. It's a sniping map, I can't snipe, and I hate snipers.)

Only two of each listed for now. There are more, but they're most "neutral" I guess.
