I was checking everything out and discovered that it has a mute switch on the little volume controller!
Damn I thought I was going crazy.

New xbox: 300 dollars
3 headsets: 20 dollars each
Finding the Mute button: priceless
I saw a huge party of you guys last night... I wanted to play COD but my wife wanted to play Guitar Hero: world tour with her friend.... so we compromised and she played Guitar Hero....
Man, I'm dying to play with you guys!
I played online last night for the first time...and man, I ****ing suck!
It seems like no matter what I do, my deaths will always be higher than my kills. I try to scope people out with any gun, someone stabs me from behind. I run out like an idiot and manage to survive and start shooting someone, but they somehow survive half of a full clip that's still shooting off and stab me. I'm pretty good at aiming, but I think getting this game a couple months late really screwed me. I don't remember COD 4 ever being this hard. Yet somehow I was still having fun and playing till nearly 5 in the morning lol.
That was one reason why I made sure to get this game right when it came out. I'm not huge on first person shooters, but with all the talk about it... I did not want to fall behind.
Too bad I had to work on the release day, and by the time I came home from work to play, people were already 10-15 levels above me.
If you're skilled in general in shooters, you'll have no problem catching up and adjusting. But for someone like me, even right now... I tend to feel totally outmatched. It's very annoying. I wish we could find a way to match up Halo style with the people near our "ranks" you know what I mean?
I'm level 51 myself, and always bump into people who did the prestige thing many times over. When I was level 30-40, everyone I played was almost always 60-70.
It gets me a little upset if I can reach say... 5 kills and 3 deaths. Then I look at the stats, and someone already has 20 kills and 1 death or something. lol
But as long as the team I'm on wins, I'm usually okay with that.
Playing with other LGKer's is cool. We have a private chat party chat so that when we go into the matches we are always on the same team and we can hear each other and not the other morans. Someone will yell "Behind you, Rinkrat!" if I'm lucky.
Anyone notice that when you find a good place to camp you almost always hear the sounds of chickens. It's almost mocking you for being so far off the beaten path.
