Here’s my strategy:
L1 & L2 : go to apartment in the middle of the map and lay in prone position on the counter in the kitchen pointing towards the entrance from the living room and simultaneously towards the entrance to the back by the garden. Shoot bad guys before they can shoot you but do so in a way that the rampage bonus increases. It’s not that tough to do as these guys are kinda dumb. If you get the kill streak bonus and rampage on the first two levels you should be able to get two sentry guns. Don’t get the grenade launchers as they will cause damage to you. Collect the shotgun round and use the 9-mil through the 3rd round.
L3: same spot, prone on the wooden counter in the apartment, but now you have two sentry guns killing basically everything. In between L3 & L4 get sleight of hand pro, and now go nuts with the shotgun and save all the MP5 rounds.
L4 & L5: more of L3, but after L5 go to the underpass by the weapons depot so can shoot down the helicopters in L6 one at a time. You will need 180 MP5 rounds if you don’t want to buy a pred missile.
L6: one of the helicopters will stay by the turrets and one will go after you. Conserve your ammo so you don’t run out. You’ll have to lure out the other copter after you down the first. You should have about 20 rounds left of the MP5 for L7 and about 25 round with the shotgun.
L7: hang out on the kitchen counter like usual and go sick with the shotgun as you’ll be able to pick up the rounds for the MP5.
Between L7 & L8: go out the back door towards the garden and throw your two frag grenades under the green car near the dumpster. You’ll need to make sure that it blows up twice. You’ll see later.
L8: Kitchen counter finishing up the last rounds of the MP5, and you should be able to get to 180 rounds now.
L9: just kill stuff and don’t get shot too bad.
*NOTE*, you don’t need to keep getting protective armor in the early rounds, probably up until round 30. All you’re doing is wasting money. You should be able to get hit and slide back into the kitchen and the “red vision” will go away.
Between L9 & L10: go to the green car you just blew up, and lay down on where the hood used to be. Facing towards the back of the apartment you’ll see a part of the car on the passenger side raised up like a gull-wing door. This part is important. Make sure that this part is always looks like it’s touching the wall to the left. If you lay here, no juggies or bad guys will see you. The dogs in later rounds will know you’re there, but they can’t get you. Helicopters can see you so don’t lay there in helicopter rounds…
L10: aim for the juggie’s head and you should be able to take him (presumably) out with 16-18 shots and there’s no need for a pred missile.
L11: Time for the AK47! Go nuts with the shotgun as you won't need it anymore. If you use the MP5 here your rounds are limited, but there should be a bunch to get you through to L15 by alternating the use of the MP5 and the AK47.
L12 – L14: alternate between the AK and the MP so you don’t run out of rounds.
L15: lay in the same spot on the green car with the gull wing and aim for the head
L16: ACR6.8 time. Use the last of the MP5 rounds and swap it out for the ACR6.8. If you’re good at protecting the turrets they should still be in great shape and will go until about round 25.
L17-L19: alternate with the AK and ACR conserving ammo. When you get to L20 you should be at 160ish for the AK and 180 for the AC.
L20: lay on the car like 10 & 15 and aim for the head
L21: Time for the FAD. The FAD is kind of a weird gun, because it shoots out rounds ridiculously fast but they’re like bb’s when the hit the bad guy. Anyway… Drop the AK for the FAD but know where you dropped it because you may need to use it when you buy your two LMGs.
L22: kill stuff and don’t get dead. By now the bad guys have become more aggressive and will run around the corner from the garden really quickly, so be ready to jump off the counter into the kitchen when necessary. Also, I believe this is where the helicopters come in.
L23: Holy ****! Exploding dogs!!! Man oh man… these things annoy me. The good news is that they’re not as damaging as the retart who wears the explosive vest. If the dog gets to the kitchen, kill it and stay in the kitchen but get as far away as you can. You’re hit points (D&D flashback) will go down by 35-50 points. Not that much compared to the guys who explode. Basically, all the levels from here on out are a carbon copy of this one but the bad guys become more resilient to the weapons.
Before dropping the helicopter in L24 we need to take stock.
Find all the FAD rounds possible and shoot at the helicopter until you see black smoke start to come out of it. Now swap it out for a crappy gun by the exit to the garden. You’ll need it there for later rounds.
Your turrets will probably be “off line” by now and you won’t have any armor, but on the bright side you should have about $80K - $90K, and this is a good thing because if you don’t have at least $65k right now you won’t make it to level 50.
There’s a trick that takes some practice. In the lag time that it takes for the helicopter to start shooting you can be running in whatever direction you want, and as long as you’re not in a position to get shot you can run around the level. Like I said, it takes some practice. Go to the exit by the road and shoot the claymore that’s probably in the doorway then go back to the doorway by the garden. Wait for the helicopter to peak around the building and start running for the other door. You will be able to get out and get behind the vehicle that looks like a moving van before the helicopter is finished. You’ll need to conscious of where the chopper is so you don’t get shot. You need to learn how to play hide and seek with the helicopter. Use the van, buildings or whatever you can as cover to not get shot. If you don’t do this, the 30 seconds between rounds will slip by so fast, and you won’t be ready for the next round. Get your two turrets set up. You should probably have about 70 rounds in the ACR still. Use these rounds to drop the helicopter and go swap out the guns you have for your LMGs. I recommend the barrel mount LMGs as they’re the fastest to reload, but I just can’t remember the names of them. They’re the last two on the list of LMGs at the gun depot. Make sure to switch to the other gun in between buying the second LMG because it will replace the one you just bought with the other LMG and you’ll have wasted $7K. I recommend getting the Red Dot sight for both because it doesn’t obstruct your vision and helps with accuracy. You should have about 15 seconds left and you should be able to get armor, which is probably a good idea.
L24: this is where the **** starts to hit the fan. It’s pretty much the same as L23 but the guys become even more aggressive here. After killing off all the bad guys that are on foot, use the FAD by the door to shoot down the helicopter. Now go collect the FAD rounds and pick back up your LMG.
L25: Do what you did for L24, but don’t drop the bird yet. Using your LMG, get it to the point where the smoke is coming out and now start with the hide and seek crap again. You’ll need to pick up 10 claymores and 10 C4s the way you got your turrets in L23. But now that you have them, you need to place the claymores in the apartment and outside of it to the side on the street. By doing this you will protect your turrets in L26. In the same way you played hide and seek with the bird to get the explosives, you need to trick the heli, run through the apartment, down the steps to the left and place the C4 near the rubble buy the building. You should be able to set about 2 or 3 C4s in this area while the heli tries to kill you. Now go refill your claymores/C4s and your guns. Set another 10 claymores on the street level, but DO NOT set ANY near the C4s. Refill the Claymores one last time and get your armor refilled. See, it gets expensive doesn’t it. Now drop the bird at the garden exit with the FAD and pick your LMG back up. Go to where you just set your C4s and set the other 10 C4s. Go to the car and lay down like you did in 10, 15 and 20.
L26: Holy ****! This just got really hairy! Your claymores will be going off left and right, and you want that instead of your turrets going down. Hold off using the C4 until all three juggies are in the area to be affected. Now blow up the C4 and watch 3 juggies, 3 bad guys and 2 or 3 dogs go down in one shot. If the juggies don’t go down, aim for their heads. Throw a grenade or two between you and the car to the right to drop any remaining dogs, or to get the juggies to clear out temporarily. You should have one bad guy in the garden by the dumpster and one by the gate to the right. You should be able to shoot through the blue car and drop the guy on the right and then stand up and drop the guy by the dumpster.
^^^ This sequence will happen every 4 rounds. L26, 30, 34, 38, 42, 46 and 50 are all the exact same. The only difference is that your weapons have less effect. So make sure that all your rounds are 300 and 300.
The non juggie levels will be more of level 25. You eventually will get to the point where you will need to set claymores outside both the garden entrance and the street entrance just so you can make it through the level. This should be round 37 or 39.
You’ll need to swap out your turrets for grenade launchers eventually because they can take a bigger beating than the guns. The bad thing is that the rounds they launch can hurt you, so be careful. Also, you’ll need to call in the Riot Squad on the Juggie levels at about L42, but only do so AFTER you’ve used your C4. The riot squad guys have a bad habit of setting off the C4.
By using this strategy I got to level 66. When I finally went down it was because I was broke and couldn’t buy any explosives. You should be able to get here to if you use the strategy above.
The only bad thing… it takes so ****ing long to get to this point, and this isn’t even the last level!!! The damn thing goes up to level 100. WTF?!?!?! How much more nuts can it get?!?!
Well, I’m probably never going to find out.
