I have officially come out of retirement to pwn you foolz.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

I so hate quick scoping....and not because I can't figure out how to do it. It's just takes a bit of realism out of the game because NO ONE uses a sniper rifle like that in any type of warfare. Sure it's just a game, but it's based on some reality. These are real guns, being used in tactical situations, and they allow you to use a real gun in a surreal way. Makes no sense to me
I think I'll pass on this one. I hate the MW series, it couldn't be anymore unrealistic. Black Ops is superior to MW2, and I am willing to bet it will be superior to MW3. I'll either stick with Black Ops, or check out Battlefield 3...and wait for next year's COD game.

It just reminds me too much of MW2 which i couldn't stand . If only they would have followed in Black Ops direction i would have maybe considered buying this.
I actually had more fun playing MW2 compared to BlackOps. I absolutely hated dogs in World at War. So when they put it in Black Ops, it really made me angry. I thought MW2 was great until everyone started doing the One Man Army + Noobtube combo. That crap really ruined it.Originally Posted by Conglaturation

I'm actually having a miserable time playing the beta. So I'm thinking, how would spending 60 bucks on this make it any more fun? If MW3 is the same formula as MW2, I think I would rather spend 60 dollars on that instead.
Still thinking about it for sure. I pre-ordered BF3 without hesitating when I picked up NHL12. Thanks to the terrible impression from the beta, I'm leaning towards going to Gamestop after work on Monday to change my pre-order from BF3 to MW3.
