Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

Yes.... It's happening again. Out November.

Citing unnamed sources, the LA Times says Activision has recruited Sledgehammer Games, the studio currently working on another unannounced Call of Duty title, and Raven Software (Singularity) to help finish development of Modern Warfare 3 for release this November.

Modern Warfare 3 in Development, But Hampered by Legal Dispute

The fact that Modern Warfare 2 raked in obscene amounts of money basically made a third entry in the franchise a forgone conclusion, but it turns out Activision Blizzard's counter-lawsuit against fired Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella also made it official: Modern Warfare 3 is already in development. The bad news for gamers is the legal dispute, according to Activision, is delaying the project's pre-production.

I wonder how this will affect the release date.

Could be set in Vietnam.

According to that same source, the game "takes particular influence from classic movies Apocalypse Now and Platoon." That, too, isn't unexpected, just like the Vietnam setting which has been rumored for quite some time. Assuming that the November release is true -- and we have no reason to believe it isn't -- it shouldn't be long before we begin hearing official details straight from Activision.

Nope never got any of them but getting tired of the COD lineup and the drama of the Activision vs. Infinity Ward crap. I'd rather get COD every other year but now that IW has been basically killed off who knows. From what I hear from you, Martin and others, BBC sounds like fun.

I think my favorite part of BBC:2 is that you can snipe mother ****ers out of the helicopter while on the ground. Sometimes you hit the pilot and the helicopter crashes, killing everyone inside. I lol every time.
