Thread: Dead Space 2

This might be a case where the second one was better than the first one, and I loved the first one. Great atmosphere, great story. Play it with the lights out and the sound up.

What I loved about it was that they added "spook" to it, with his dead girlfriend constantly appearing in front of you. The only thing i didn't like was that they made Nicole Brennan 15 years older and uglier(although it has to take over the "likeness" of the voice actor; which i'm not sure if the two games had different actors for Nicole.)

I'm not feeling this way at all. I'm nearing the end and I am struggling a little bit to finish it. I'm just finding it a little tedious and predictable at this point. Really bummed I'm not liking it more as I thought the first one was great. Oh well, sucks for me.

Yeah, not really sure why they made Nicole look like a modern day Meryl Streep. Especially when Issac magically managed to get a ton of his hair back. Oh well, still a great game.

Sorry, you're not enjoying it, I thought it was awesome. Going through my 4th play through now on zealot. Probably a big thing for me is that Issac talks in this one. Mute heroes in video games in this day & age are just stoopid.

Yeah, don't really get why I'm not liking it more. There are a ton of improvements. The guns are better, more enemies, main character has a personality (as you pointed out). Really is a lot to like in this game. I think I'm just on a man period.

I think I'll try a second run after this one. Keeping all my upgrades is appealing. New game plus FTW.

Have you done (or are you going ) to try a Hardcore run?

I'm still working on my zealot play-through. I'm not sure how much fun hardcore sounds. Really it's more about having all day to dedicate to the game than anything else since you can only save 3 times. Not sure I'm into that really. We'll see though.

Finally finished it. That final boss battle was severely lame.

I thought it was good for the story, Isaac battling his own mind to free himself. I kind of jumped when i couldn't find her and out of nowhere she appears in front of me and I die lol
