globeandmail.com: Nintendo unveils new games, devices at E3Nintendo widened the uses for the console with its Wii Fit balance board and Tuesday said it plans to begin selling this year “Wii Speak,” a group microphone that works with its Wii game console and can be used for online games.
It's about ****ing time Nintendo got with the program.
Nintendo's presentation was downright atrocious.
Their Wii Speak is voice chat (which they've been behind on) this whole time. The biggest game they can announce is... Wii Music? You gotta be kidding me.
Their Animal Crossing announcement was pretty important too... but I'm not a Animal Crossing fan.
Wii Sports 2 has NOTHING to do with Sports.
Eh, I dunno... it feels like they're turning their back on the more hardcore gamers.

Have you ever played FF X? It's one of the best of the series.
VI (III in America), VII, and X are my favorites. XII I never even finished, IX I never finished, and VIII I only finished because I felt I had to.
Hopefully you didn't read through the story already, as X had a pretty engaging story that keeps you interested (mostly).
The FF III for the SNES, and FF VII have been the most enjoyable games I've played. I'm in the same boat regarding FF VIII. It had more story than I cared for, but still felt like I HAD to finish it. I never owned a PS2, nor do I have a PS3. And to be completely honest, FF VII was the ONLY reason I bought an original playstation. After trying IX, I stopped caring for the series.
Edit: I'll take your word regarding X. IF i ever get a PS2/3, I'll pick it up. That's a big IF though.
The minor update on NHL 2k9 was a completely revamped engine that will include better graphics, fighting, and playoff beards. Oh yeah, and a Zamboni mini game!

Well, I didn't like parts 8 or 9, but I loved 10/X. I probably wouldn't go and buy X2 though, it's not a very good extension to the story at all.
But seriously, in terms of sheer greatness, X is arguably the best FF of the series (many argue it's VII, I'm sort of torn).
I would also say maybe give XII a try if you can pick it up for cheap. It can get super easy though if you use a few exploits, and the story and acting is a little decent. I never did finish it though, but some say it was good.
worst part is, Nintendo promised to cater to a more hardcore crowd this E3. Biggest joke of a news conference ever
I may be the only VIII and IX fan here I guess. I enjoyed them both (and liked VII, but it wasn't my favorite and I've never understood the hype), although the sheer amount of cutscenes in IX DID overwhelm the gameplay, IMO. VI is still the best. Wish I had bought a PS2 to play XII.
Looking mightily forward to Rock Band II, I love the first one (first game my wife has cared to play at all).
Unfortunately, my biggest E3 news came a couple days before. Mythic/EA announced they were cutting 4 classes from Warhammer Online and that it will also only release with 2 of the originally planned 6 capitol cities. :20smile:
I kept hearing speculation and rumor but that's about it. Since both of their systems are money printing machines, they must've felt like 'why bother with E3?'. At least they only showed the same shooter every other console will have: COD 5. MS and Sony both had FPS overload going-on. Speaking of which...
Sony's presentation was almost as bad. Resistance 2 did not look eyeball-bleedingly good. That big monster just stands there for the whole level while you fire rockets into its mouth? Huh? GOW2 looked better from what I saw.
