Definitely *is* Epic.
Played 2 hours last night and it was awesome. Everything looks fantastic! It's a very 'mature' type of game as the land is in a dire state and it is clearly due to Mickey from the intro video. There's no 'happy happy' Disneyland music here.
Every area looks like a Disney park ride set to a theme, but it's in some state of disrepair or chaos based on the level design. The B&W Transport film corridors between these areas are straight out of the source material (Steamboat Willie, etc.)
Everything and everyone has a name. I've freed around a dozen Gremlin helpers and they've all had names (Pinzo, etc.) I'm sure Disney afficianados would be even more enthralled by things like this.
Gameplay mechanics are most like Super Mario Sunshine except with paint and thinner to add/erase objects and enemies and solve puzzles. There are some early hints that erasing every enemy and not painting areas has consequences, but I'm not sure where this is going yet. Because of this I'm not sure what the age range on this is supposed to be. 12-14?
My only 2 minor 'issues' so far: no voice work except the gibberish talk started way back with Banjo + Kazooie. Also there are some camera issues with painting certain items (like a bridge), but you can move it around with + and center with "C", so that solves most things.
Final conclusion: another definite must-buy for any wii owner.

Lots of good stuff again... like Mt MickeyJunk where you have to hop over actual Mickey items like puzzles, books and Nintendo game cartridges.
