Once you discover a location you can fast travel to it at will. You have to walk around to discover. This is an rpg shooter. So its a great combo of both. What you kill, speak to and interact with make immense differences in your character development and fighting skills.Quote:

Didn't take long. Notice that your left bumper changes you from 1st to 3rd person. Use them both as you see fit and you will do fine. Its a deep very involved game and you wont learn everything right away. But you can get along quickly and survive if you keep sharp and make good alliances.Quote:

I've played for about an hour. After I broke out of the vault (WTF a birthday party ?) I was ok. I can see how I can get bored though with all the walking around and also how I can like it by killing fools and blowing stuff up. I guess I'll see.....
Walking around only becomes a pain when you're carrying/scavenged too much gear. You can't use the quick travel when overloaded.
Up the difficulty to the highest, you should get a decent amount of random enemies to blow away.
I have a toaster and some shot glasses. How do I get rid of crap ? Cool. I think I'll keep it on medium for now though. I'll up it later. Yay !
If you have too much, you can just drop the stuff that isn't worth a lot. You mainly get rid of your stuff by selling it off to merchants for bottlecap credits. Scavenge everything you can that's worth a decent amount but don't forget to not get too overloaded when you're far from a merchant.Quote:

Don't forget to take meat from the dead creatures, they'll give you a little health boost which will probably be needed.

Wow is this game involved and big ! I keep getting killed though. I want to like it but it seems way too involved for me. I'll give it a week or so to really get into it. I can definitely see this being a great game but it is starting to look like it is not a game for me. :(
