Fallout 3 = three weeks of my life spent solely on eating, sleeping and playing this game.
And guess what, I regret not a single minute of playing it.
As for New Vegas ... I can has another three weeks off plz?![]()
Maybe I'll have to give Fallout 3 a shot. As a JRPG fan, I don't traditionally play WRPGs... but sound pretty universally loved.
Think of it as a standard FPS where you gain experience, level up, get perks, and increase a number of attributes.
It's a post-apocalyptic, retro-50's setting. The main combat feature is called VATS...with it, you pause action and choose particular areas of an enemy to target (head, weapon, legs, etc.). Depending on your weapon and your stats, you can take a certain amount of VATS shots, usually between one and five. These shots occur in slow motion and are pretty cinematic in nature.
There's nothing quite like watching a round fly toward a baddie in bullet-time then explode its cranium in a pink and red showering mess.
Beat the game yesterday.
Campaign was kind of dull but I still had a great time playing it....it is hard to top Fallout 3.
Been too busy to play much this week. I have one companion and have not found another yet.
My GF looves this game. Hard to pry her away. Which is kinda cool.
