Thread: Final Fantasy XIII & Final Fantasy XIII-2 Thread

Im on Chapter 10 in Gran Pulse with what I believe im in 28 hours of gameplay,TooCool 55 hours!?!?!?!? thats amazing for a game in this era can you tell me if im close to beating the game because I assume the game has a total of 13 chapters if im not mistaken and im on chapter 10 right now.

I believe I read somewhere that the first 10 chapters is only half the game. So you still got a long way to go, depending on how fast you advance. =)

Holy **** I just did the math so I have approximately 27 hours left to play....WOW

Not exactly. There is quite a bit left, but I don't think it's really 27 hours if all you want is to complete the main story. Now, if you grind cp/gil after the story, then yea, probably more than 27 hours.

Im definitely going to play after the story this game is officially worth every penny.

Finally, I am released from my Final Fantasy XIII prison

Just finally getting around to this game (PS3 version), only about 4-5 hours in but agree it may be the best looking game yet (previously thought Uncharted 2 was top). Story and characters are strong so far, early on it is definitely more like an interactive movie than a game but I'm sure that'll change soon.

I'll buy the next installment XIII-2 at some point as I liked the battle system but thought for a JRPG titan like Final Fantasy it was too linear. Exploring is a key but finely balanced issue for the western markets but there wasn't really any in XIII other than in the large valley.

It can't be the hardcore grinding system with endless item/building options and searching but it needs to be more than what XIII turned out to offer.
This new game "should" give us RPG fans a better experience with the same engine so I'm hoping.

Went back to this and got past chapter 5-7. TooCool is playing through it again.
