Left Trigger(LT) gets you into and out of combat.

One of my favorite parts of this game is walking by a guard in a city and assasinating him using your knife then casually go on your way like nothing happened. After a few seconds you start hearing people screaming.

Other good assassination technique with great animation is running towards a guard on a rooftop and taking him out with your knife. Always make sure you LT your target first and be quick too.

I am having fun with AC. The trick is take your time with it. I also don't play marathon games. Usually one or two hours a night. Perfect pace for me.
