Still waiting to be accepted into the LGK Death Squad on PS3, if anyone could check on this would be appreciated.
Tried the Del Pierro Survival today for the first time, got to wave 10 before the helicopter picked me off in the little room by the vending machines (near the corner body armor spawn), it got me so the Buzzard is now mine!

I was working on my single player today (48 of 50 bridge fly-unders down, looks like I need a Buzzard to get the two at the north end of the LA River where the width is tight), and I stumbled into a very easy way to get the Trading Pure Alpha trophy. Avoid the stock market until a guy you help in a random encounter (I think it has to do with a stolen bike) sends you a text message that he gave you stock in his company. Liquidate the stock and you will have made an infinite profit at the stock market since you got the stock for free, which more than qualifies you for the trophy.
I also enjoyed this that happened online: I saw a guy with a red bounty dot and drove over to find he was in a clothing store. He seemed to be taking his time, but there was a fancy car with a definite non-stock paint job parked nearby, so I attached a sticky bomb to the back of the car. I drove a block away and waited. That was not far enough for him to leave the store, so I drove three blocks away and waited. Still nothing. I got an alert about a crate that was on the other side of town but at least still in Los Santos, and I was bored of waiting for the guy in the clothing store, so I headed over there. Once I got to where I would park to kill the mercenaries around the crate, I hit pause to check my map and the red dot was on the move. I unpaused and wondered what the range was on a sticky bomb detonation. Turns out it was enough.
It must have been hilarious from his point of view. He's just driving along, no one anywhere near him, and then out of no where his car just explodes on him.
People seem to really enjoy playing missions on hard lately. Hint: Having to do a mission six times to pass it just for an extra 50% RP is a significant net loss. And it really sucks when the guys who set it to hard are terrible. I have taken to picking up the package from the DA on the mission where you have to break into the military base, steal a fighter plane, blow up some witness in his plane, then kill the DA driving on the road before he gets to some destination, get a package he had, and deliver it to the mission guy in the Hollywood Hills. I let the other people handle the plane part and usually blowing up the DA while I hang out and never even go into the military base so I don't have four stars to worry about. Yesterday I was doing the mission and I gave a guy a ride in my car since he did not have one and he starts shooting at the military trucks that materialize when the other people break into the base. He keeps shooting at cops and I have three stars when I get to the DA. I get killed jumping out of my car to grab the package because some random cop rams me when I am getting out and then shoots me to death before I can get up. Idiot in my car gets out and dies shortly after. Various people with four stars flying planes either crash themselves to death or parachute out and are then shot by cops on the ground. Restart the mission and I lock the doors on my car the instant it starts, then I eventually deliver the package with ease.

I had a fun and challenging mission yesterday because there wasn't just one idiot trying to sabotage it, but four of them. I joined a random mission for six people and four of them apparently wanted to play it alone or with two other people, so they kindly asked me and the other guy to leave. And by kindly, I mean in the most vulgar ways possible. After a minute or two, the other guy left, but my programmed response to that behavior is "**** me? **** me? No, **** you!" so I took my headset off and read messages on LGK for ten minutes (a lot longer than I thought, but **** them). They finally gave up and started the mission.
Those four started shooting at me, which did nothing, and then at my car. They did enough damage to the car that the first signs of fire were right as I was getting in, so I got out and found some high ground so they couldn't run me over. They stayed in the area as I waited for my car to blow up so I could call Mors and charge one of them $10,000 for my new car. I then got in a random car and headed for the military base, chased by the four of them and their hideous neon cars. I noticed that the sixth guy was on the way to the military base (this was the mission where you have to kill the witness in his plane and then kill the DA on the road and take the evidence to the mission guy in the Hollywood Hills), so I went toward the western road to be ready for the DA. The four idiots took out the tires of the car I was in, so I stopped it and took a new one. One of them blew up the old car right behind me as I was getting in the new one. I got to the NW corner of the city and botched the jump out of the building up there, so I had to abandon that car. As I was running down the lawn, they came around and tried to run me over. I got knocked down by the edge of a guy's car but did a good job of dodging them and carjacked another car. That car blew up immediately from the guy with the grenade gun, but I was not hurt despite being in a blackened shell of flames, so I guess the immunity to 'friendly' fire covers explosions. I got in another car and got away, hearing more explosions behind me.
The game told me that the guy who had gone to the military base had died, so I headed there with the idiots behind me. I drove well enough that they did not catch up to me, and at some point en route the game alerted me that two of them died, probably from the cops that didn't like the grenade gun. Knowing that they were stuck watching me made the mission more fun. I got to the base and as I was lining up my car to make the jump inside, one of the other two idiots showed up and took some shots as I zoomed down the ridge and off the jump. I went straight for the Lazer and he caught up as I was climbing into the cockpit. Luckily he was not the guy with the grenade gun or he just wasn't quick enough, but I got in the air before being attacked. As I chased after the witness, that guy got killed by the soldiers, and right as I was blowing up the plane with the witness, the last one died.
All four of them were stuck watching me as I chased down the DA, blew up his car, and then flew around for a while to lose the wanted stars. I landed the plane on bridge (not the best landing, but I walked away), took the evidence, and drove to the hills. I was very, very tempted to park my car an inch from the yellow drop-off circle and put my controller down and read the internet until they quit, but it was late, so I finished. At least they all got to sit there stuck watching me while trading more vulgarities (I could hear the occasional word from my headset sitting on the couch next to me) for ten minutes. And then they all got their $10,000 for being bags. But I had fun.

I would have stopped in front of the drop-off, waited about 5 mins, then killed myself, failing the mission.

That would have been hilarious, but I didn't think they cared about the points or cash as much as practicing their 3rd grade taunts. I wish I knew how to make my character make gestures and it wasn't so late at night, or I could have just stood there giving them the finger with my free hand while I read the internet until they quit. Of course, maybe they didn't know how to quit, since they didn't know how to boot me from the loading screen.

He even went with "my grandfather owned your grandfather", which shows a failure not just of decorum, but also of basic math skills. I would have gone across town to kill him a few times myself, but the other guy had things well in hand.
I lost a couple of races to a guy with a custom motorcycle and a sports car (beat him when we had to use stock Sanchez bikes). With catch-up turned on, it is easy for him to catch me, and the moment he passes me, his upgrades cancel out the catch-up and more for me, so it is over. So, I bought my Carbizonnair and a couple upgrades. Forgot how much the upgrade add up, and that is even without the ones I am waiting to win enough races to be able to buy the best versions of.

I lighting cars on fire this past weekend when I was playing as Michael. I would block the traffic with my car and then start pouring gasoline over the cars. Once the fire started the Fire Department showed up, and when they were trying to extinguish the car fire the cars blew up. One of the firemen was caught in the explosion. The EMT came to help him but I heard them say that he dies. I snapped a picture of the dead fireman and then walked around to see my handy work. As I walked towards the firemen they would point their extinguishers towards me spray me and call me "Diablo". This game is weird.
