Default Guitar hero world tour anyone?

Anybody going to pick it up? I don't know what availability is like but I think I'm gonna swing by Best Buy in a bit and see if they have it.

I'm still debating whether to get this or Fallout 3. I'm leaning towards Fallout because it's cheaper (i'd have to buy the guitar), and if i really need a guitar fix, GH3 is still a lot of fun and the songs aren't quite old yet.

But i want this game too...

I picked it up yesterday (PS3, yeah i know!) It was fun up until the orange cymbal on my drum kit stopped working after about an hour of play. I've already gone through the whole RedOctane customer support and it's a bit of a pain in the ass. I'm glad i'm not the only one having instrument problems. It seems to be wide spread.

I'd wait if I were you pick it up. Hopefully they'll fix the problem by the next shipment

I totally want to try this.

I just need to find friends who bought this so I can leech.

Yeah, a lot of people are complaining about instrument problems, which is ridiculous. Some of my drums appear to be a bit dodgy, but I'm holding out to see what others experiences are with the return process.

While it sucks for KR20, what's funny about this is the number of GH fans on the Rock Band forums talking about Rock Band's ****ty equipment and how much better the stuff is that Red Octane/Activision makes.

    Oooops.

And to the point of the thread, I'd love to pick it up, but already have RB and RB2 for my fix.

With all the DLC for Rockband, I'll pass on this one like I did with GH Aerosmith. One day, when it gets cheaper...

Also, there weren't too many songs that smoothed the wrinkles out of my sac on World Tour like there was on Rockband 2. Mastering the Peace Sells album on expert takes up too much time as it is.

Yeah, I have both rock bands and all the guitar heroes except for Aerosmith (puke), and I have to say that I think rock band is definitely superior, (better set list, better world tour, better on-stage presentation & graphics, better HUD & overall better U.I.) but there is **** about guitar hero that is better too.

All the customization in guitar hero is awesome, where rock band you basically get to tweak like 2 settings about your character. I also prefer the last two guitar hero guitars over the piece of **** rock band guitar a hundred times over. I also like the GH drums over my RB1 drums because they have the cymbals and the pads are more springy, but a fat load of good it does you if they don't register the hits.

All in all, I'd really like to frankenstein the two games back together. **** these douchebags for splitting into 2 companies.

I bought GHWT pretty much for the drums. Boy was I screwed! But I totally agree with you. Why can't they just make ONE awesome, fully functional band game? I guess I'll just have to join a band to get that experience

So for fun, I tried to play Trapped Under Ice on expert drums (Training, of course, no way I could actually do the song). I was sweating balls after the first time, but it's fun as hell.
