It looks like this thing is getting major, major props throughout the gamer community. IGN, GS and ARS are already giving it GOTY nods. I haven’t read a bad thing about it except that the campaign is somewhat short unless you go Legendary out of the box…which I will probably do.
Ok, I'm going to finish up REACH tonight, which means I've run through all of them now in the last little while.
Time to watch the newest HALO: Forward Into Dawn Video.
For those that enjoy this, your expectation of Bungie's new title "Destiny" should be on par with it from what I've heard. Sure, they could totally drop the bar with it, but these guys worked magic before, and my expectation is that they'll surpass my expectations as they did 4 of the last 5 times.

I just finished up Halo CEA Edition and absolutely LOVED it. I bought it last year and played it for about 6 hours then but never got around to finishing it until 3 weeks ago. I fell in love with the original story all over again. 343 did a FANTASTIC job on updating it. Between the 10+ years since I played CE and the new graphic and AI updates, It was like playing a brand new game. If you dont own the Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, BUY IT!
I hated ODST. I hated the story, the graphic style, the cut scenes...everything. I walked away from it during the Warthog over the Bridge/Tunnel Mission 2+ years ago and have yet to touch it since. It felt like a full step back with the cartoony graphics, piss poor dialogue and crappy voice overs. It seemed like an outright cash grab by Bungie probably brought on by MS. I pretty much wrote off the franchise after MS took it from Bungie. After hearing decent things about Reach from a few of my peeps, I was really surprised by it. I'll probably toss Reach in the box this weekend just to stay in the groove. Other than the original CE and more so the CEA edition, Reach was my fav.
I putzed around with Wars for a brief time but RTS games arent my cup of tea so it didnt last. Too time consuming for me.
If I were to list them in order of enjoyment, it would be:
CEA/CE, Reach, H2, H3, Wars.............................................. ...................ODST
Not playing 4 yet, its really, REALLY hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that a good chunk of the Halo 4 reviews out there are saying it IS the best game in the franchise to date. Thats a BIG statement right there.
Too close to Black Ops 2, I'll pass and buy it used in a few months to play the story offline.
