I may buy it soon, but am not too sure. I just picked up God Of War 3, and passed that on easy, and school just started for me so I do not have a lot of time for the games. This sucks since the new COD comes out, and the new MOH comes out. Also, for the Wii I want to pick up the new Disney/Mickey game
I am doing SP. It's pretty cool.
Game sucks if you ask me. The graphics are horrible, and the whole feel is just plain corny IMO.
Finished SP last night on Heroic by myself. Pretty good story overall.
I never played 1,2, or SP ODST, but I finished 3 and was a bit lost story-wise. I figured the story for Reach would work for me since it was a prequel and it did.
I liked how they stitched the MP maps into the game, but there's not much more they could pull-out as MP maps which is kind of strange I guess.
I have no idea why I chose Heroic over Normal, but it was frustrating beyond belief. I died probably 20 times in around 3-4 spots due to what I would call broken AI and scripting errors. If there's a death counter, I had a lot. LOL
As an example of scripting errors, one time while driving the tank late in the game, I would not get a checkpoint (I think because I did not drive the tank down the proper path or to the right spot?) so I got stuck doing that one section around 10 times (yeah, I died from the fuel rod/cannons).
As for the broken AI, at certain points, those higher Elites with stickies would stick me every time. Not 99% of the time. Every. Time. Even if I jumped or did anything differently than my previous death. Getting stickied around a corner through a door or through a wall(!) sucks and it happened around a dozen times for me.
I realized I wasn't Master Chief, and I'm not sure if it was the Heroic difficulty, but I couldn't melee any of those non-regular Elites either. Insta-death whenever I even touched one even if he had no weapon.
took this game back and exchanged it for NHL11
Maybe you aren't used to Halo, but the graphics are what Halo is all about. It wasn't meant to be a CoD game.
This is being widely regarded as one of, if not the best halo ever released.
It has a few things that I don't like, but all in all...it is based a lot more on player skill, rather than the gimmicky gameplay of H3.
