Line One: Ryan Smyth (Kings) 83 - Jarret Stoll 86 (Kings) - Justin Williams 81 (Kings)
I got Stoll with my starter pack (was very stoked), and I just picked up Smyth and Williams on the auction block last night. Got them for a total of about 1800 pucks. They both have a handful of games played already, which kinda sucks, but I figured I'd take it for the chemistry. Chemistry is somewhere around 96 (I haven't played much with this line, so I can't say how much this matters)
Line Two: Begin (Bruins, NHL) 81 - Fiddler (Coyotes, NHL) 79 - Recchi (Bruins, NHL) 81
Pretty good second line, Fiddler is better than I thought we would be, with a good shooter on his right and a hitter on his left. Chemistry is around 80 with the two teammates.
Line Three: Setzinger (Davos, National) 73 - Nichol (San Jose, NHL) 77 - Stortini (Oilers, NHL) 83
The highlight of this line is Stortini, who has a 97 or so in checking after a few training cards. He is a beast. Setzinger has a good shot, so he's the scorer of the line. Mostly they like to hit people though.
Line Four: Langhammer (Sparta, O2) 69 - Taylor (Rochester, AHL) 73 - Walker (Berlin, DEL) 75
Fourth line is fairly worthless, but Chris Taylor has made a few sweet goals so far. I try to have these guys on the ice as little as possible, although Taylor is also a good PKer.
Other Forwards of Note:
C Kennedy (Penguins, NHL) - 79 overall, 87 potential. When I get some good training cards, he'll be my second line center in no time.
LW Gogol (Saskatoon, WHL) 67 overall, 82 potential. I'm pretty weak on the wings, he's my best prospect up front.
RW Heino (Pelicans, SM-Liga) 69 overall, 80 potential. Only decent RW prospect.
Defense Pairing 1: Davidson (New Jersey, NHL) 82 - Salvador (New Jersey, NHL) 82
Lucked out on getting two Devils Dmen, one in my starter pack and one in a jumbo pack i got with leftover MS points. They're solid, with great chemistry
Defense Pairing 2: Sutton (Senators, NHL) 80 - Havelid (Linkopings, SEL) 72
Just picked up Sutton last night as well, haven't played with him too much, but Havelid is good at handling the puck and getting it to the forwards.
Defense Pairing 3: Penner (Providence, AHL) 74 - Cole (Abbotsford, AHL) 72
Two AHL guys, decent, nothing special.
Goalies: Budaj (Colorado, NHL) 80ish - Aus Den Birken (Iserlon, DEL) 71
I picked up Budaj on an auction when I couldn't take my 71-rated goalie anymore. I have Michael Neuvirth in the wings, a 76 overall with 87 potential. As soon as I get a few good goalie training cards, he'll be my starter.
I freaking love this game mode. I just wish there was an easy way to set up HUT team games with your friends. There doesn't seem to be a way to do that.
