I was thinking of getting the Elite system. Is the extra HD space really worth the extra $100?

Just it being black is worth the $100.![]()
extra hard drive space = yes
black = yes
see you on XBL
I personally did not get the Elite because I don't need the extra hard drive space. 20 GB is plenty for me.
Ask yourself this.
Do you download demos and videos? Or... are you going to? I personally don't care for demos because you only get to play so little of it... it's not fun. If I'm really excited for a game, I don't need a demo to try it out really.
It's the Demos, Videos, Xbox Live Arcades that will really fill up your hard drive. So the choice is up to you.
If you get the Premium 20 GB though, make sure it includes an HDMI Port. Those are the newer stock, with the heatsink in there. Plus the manufacturer's date should be July 1, 2007 and above. So check for that.

You're welcome.

I'm probably going to get the ugly ass Halo 3 version in the next month...
It's cheaper than elite, and since I will only play like 5 games, I won' need the large space.
I'd say no on the Elite. Before, the Elite was the only model that had the HDMI port, but now the Premium has one also, so the extra 100GB and coloring doesn't mean much to me.
ONE THING TO DO WHEN BUYING A 360: Check the barcode sticker. Look for the words 'Falcon' and 'Zephyr' on the sticker. The 'Zephyr' is the older chipset that's been on the market for a while now, the 'Falcon' is the new chipset that's trickling out. The Falcon chipset has a smaller nanometer processor that's supposed to run much cooler and the chipset overall is supposed to be much more reliable. I know most of the Halo edition 360's have the new Falcon chipset.
Check the barcode sticker and make sure it says 'falcon' on it!
The demos are actually really cool, but they're not big enough to necessitate 120GB
I guess I'll be waiting a bit. Almost every place is sold out (except for the H3 editions). Circuit City had some, but they were Zephyrs.
