Yeah, beats me. I bought MLB the Bigs for my Wii like 4 months ago and I haven't even opened it.

If you want simulation baseball on the 360, your only option is MLB 2k8. PS3 owners get the choice of 2k8 or the considerably more popular MLB 08: The Show.

The 2k series has been mediocre for a while now....just like most of the rest of their titles. Based on reviews, 2k8 seems to have taken a step back from 2k7, but so far I like it a little bit more.

I just picked up my copy a few days ago, so here are my impressions:

    Pros:

-Hit stick is better this time around. Basically you press back on the right stick to take a step, then forward to swing. The hitting engine has always been weak and wimpy on 2k with far too many homeruns....but it feels more realistic to me in 2k8.

-New pitching interface is fun. Instead of just pressing a button, you use the right stick. Down then up is a fastball. Up then down is a changeup. Down then right gives you a two-seamer. Breaking balls are some combination involving rolling the stick. Mess up and you throw a meatball.

-Fielding and baserunning are a little smoother this year.

    Cons

-While the graphics are generally pretty good....some of the faces are awful.

    -Several frame rate issues.

-Takes a while to get the sliders right.

I haven't tried the franchise mode yet.

MLB 2K8 pretty much blows, MLB The Show is way better. The Show is only available for PS3, which is really lame.
