How's everyone going along in the game? Right now i managed to move up to corporal grade 2 just a few shy of sergeant. As far as the solo mission, i havent beat it like a couple of you guys but im getting there.

Had to take this pic while over in London. This was on the Imax theater, taken from the London Eye
I also so numerous ads on the sides of the double decker buses.
Forge and Theater modes are sick. They add a ton of depth to the game.
Took this one while I was just messing around in a Forge game, throwing propane tanks down and setting them off. Gonna have to go back to one of my previous games, and snap one of me teabagging a friend. Good times.
A couple more thoughts about this game.
1. I AM CURED!!! - I used to get sick to my stomach and get headaches when I played an FPS. Not with Halo 3.
2. The story is a convoluted mess. It started off good in the jungle but made no sense at all and is short.
3. I suck at multiplayer but am having fun and I think getting slightly better.
my 5 year old beat Halo 3 today
I haven't even started playing it yet but will give it a shot sometime soon.
There are three tricks to becoming better at MP.
The first is memorizing the maps, especially where the spawn points, sword, and cloak are.
The second is winning the 1v1 battles. If you cannot win the 1v1 battles consistently, stick with a teammate until you can get there. The 1v1 battles are won by shooting first, closing the distance, and melee-ing first. The first *shot* is preferably grenade damage. This is true for all weapons in the game.
The last is obvious, but fight with odds, and let some other sucker be rambo(first man in the action). Focus fire with your teammates(since your second man in, steal his kill if you can.) Similarly, you can get easy kills by shooting guys next to the red Xs because they've usually just been in a fight and are low on shields.
If you are good, it's about your spread and if you are bad it's about your spread.

So yeah, the campaign for this game pretty much sucked out loud. My neighbor loaned it to me on Sunday and I've already beaten it on heroic by myself. Things I didn't like:
- The NPC AI is pathetic when it comes to driving/shooting with the warthog or other vehiccle. If the AI shoots they can't hit ****, if they drive the guy takes you into the middle of the battlefield and basically stops so you get your ass shot off in 2 seconds.
- No cover. If an enemy can kill you with one shot you should be able to duck behind something and stay there.
- The graphics. I'm sorry but the forest scenes made me feel like I was playing "Doom goes to the jungle." A lot of things had no texture to them whatsoever.
- The story was split in 15 different directions and not easy to follow. It was like trying to figure out who was banging who from the first to last season of Friends. Impossible.
- The end was terrible. Could they rip off any more from the Alien(s) franchise (this actually goes for vehicles too)?
I haven't played online yet, but I don't have a lot of hope. All in all, I don't see why this game has so many fanboys. It was pretty mediocre.
I will say though that the halo3 website is pretty freakin' awesome with the interactive model that they've been showing in the commercials and the videos and such. It really adds a lot of depth to the game that isn't there in the play.
