Ideally, if a team has already been requested by a previous poster then each new poster would request different (unclaimed) teams. It never works out that way, but the brackets always work out. I haven't run into a situation where someone plays as a team they didn't originally request, and if I do run into that, then whoever requested the team first will get it and the person who requested teams that someone else already did will play as the Portland Pirates or Team Zimbabwe. ::shrug::

I picked St. Louis and Tampa because they were still available. There are some people that have taken the teams that were already spoken for. The participants that took teams already spoken for need to switch teams.

You're right, obviously... it was pretty poorly slapped together. We have two options:

1) We can have those users that you bolded above pick new teams that had not been accounted for when they joined the tourney or...

2) I can sim a season to get 16 teams and then just assign them to everyone based on some factor (Xbox Live ranking, # of posts, etc)

I may just go with the 2nd option.

Or we could all be AHL teams... :think:

just make the brackets and who ever ends up not being able to use a team that they have chosen you pick for them. I personally will not mind having Team Russia or Canada to play :) .

Cool, I'll put you down in the #16 slot.

Pretty much you just arrange a time to meet up w/ your opponent online and play a best of 3 series. Worst case scenario you lose 2 quick games and move on. Once we figure out the team situation I'll post more detailed instructions on how to set up the game...
