Played it over the weekend at a friend's house, loved it. My only gripe is the tricky 3-playfield jumping. Love the character customization, art style, level design though.
One thing that surprised me was the satisfaction of my character customization. I wasn't expecting to have as much as I did customizing my character, my friend made completely different characters.
They even had a few downloaded levels that were quite a lot of fun.
A definite buy for me once I get a PS3.
I played a couple of user levels and was amazed at people's creativity. Must buy, IMO!
I'll be interested to see the longevity this game has. Most games that rely on user-based content fail to produce the amount or quality of content one would assume, and turn into niche, community games after a few months. I know the fervor is there for LBP user-content, but I'll be interested to see if it is sustainable.
I've played some pretty damn impressive user-made levels and had a lot of fun in them. However, it isn't the same as the regular levels, when you have incentive to find all the items, finish without dying, etc. Hopefully the game will have good downloadable content.
Got it last night and this game is hilarious and awesome! Definitely a fun game to have and play during Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday.
