I haven't found any good guides online. I NEVER buy strategy guides but having a girlfriend who loves this game and wants every prize... well... That being said, the $15 for the strategy guide has everything. Every sticker, every bubble. It even tells you what stickers need to be placed on the sticker/switches so you don't have to figure it out. I think half the book is also devoted to making levels. If you really are stuck it's worth a pick up.

Ok so I just bought the game.

I don't see a lil big planet store option or make a level option. Do I have to beat the game to get access to this?

When you're in your room, at the controller you'll see there are three moons. I don't remember what the moon on the left is. The moon on the center should have four options - the bottom option being lil big planet store. It holds all the DLC you've bought, costumes and the Metal Gear levels. The moon on the right is where you can build you're own levels.

You do have to complete the first few levels of the "Gardens" to play multiplayer, but that should be the only thing you're prevented from doing at the outset.

As far as I know you can't save them to your PS3. You have to sign in to PSN to access the user-created levels. If you download extra levels from the Playstation Store you can play those without being online.
