Lord of the Rings conquest
Anybody else anticipated for it? The chance to play as Orcs, Sauron, etc. and burn the Shire seems pretty badass

I am, I enjoyed Battlefront 1 and 2. I was sad that they pushed it back to 2009, but such is life.

IGN gave this game a 7.0. Not the best review. Don't think i'll waste my money on it.

I played the demo a bit last night. I was really, really hoping that i'd like this game becuase i'm a LOTR nut, but a stunning realization that i made about two minutes into the game pretty much killed it for me.
The first couple things it has you do is the basic "run to a checkpoint" type deals, and then you start fighting little orcs. This is where the stupidity comes in. They mapped the controller so that it's the basic left-stick controls movement, right-stick looks around (so the character is always facing forward). Which is fine, until you realize the attacks are the X, Y, and B buttons. Which means you can't aim and attack at the same time. Which is absolutely retarted. There may be a way to re-map the buttons, but any game with default programming that bad won't be a good game.
Which really sucks. One day there will be a LoTR game that is worthy (nudge, nudge Bethesda...)

Im slightly disappointed by this one (and this is coming from a hack n slash fiend). As dieavsdie pointed out, the camera angles are lame. Its a pretty low vantage point so when you're trying to fight dozens of orcs at once you end up getting beat up from behind because you cant freakin see whats behind you! I just started the 2nd half of the game where you play as the dark side which is pretty fun/interesting. Nonetheless the game is pretty fun (especially if you're a lotr fan) but i was hoping it was going to be better

Quick Question.... Is this game 3rd person or 1st or what?
