There has to be a few football fans around here. Who picked this up?
I've played maybe 4 normal games (preseason franchise with my Packers) and 4 games as a QB in Superstar mode, playing for Houston.
So far, I like the game even better than 09, which was my favorite of the series. '10 is definitely harder, but I'm having fun while losing.
What are your impressions?
i've only played few games in superstar mode, so far I like it. It seems more realistic, shotgun snaps are sometimes high or low, different QB rating for short, medium, and long passes. Overall I like the game.
It's good for a football game....it's just that football games suck. Playing defense is pretty much tantamount to hoping the other 10 AI players don't suck, and if you're playing as San Francisco the chance is...they're going to suck. I just don't like having so little control. At least with hockey you're 1/6th of the equation, not 1/11th. I will say that this, so far, is much better than any Madden on the "next" gen consoles.
Nice...one play into our online franchise and Frank Gore tears up his knee. Also...I'm pretty sure Patrick Willis can catch a ball thrown right at him. I've seen it happen with my own eyes, but apparently the Madden programmers disagree. Also, according to these geniuses, Beanie Wells will be this generation's version of Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson.
Haven't played Madden 10 yet, but I did pick up Madden 09 for 20 bucks.

Yea those are fair points. That's basically the way it is in real life. I mean as good as let's say Ray Lewis, he is only good if the guys on his d-line are doing their jobs.Quote:

The big name rookies always get overrated. I play as the Raiders. Heyward-Bey's catching rating is crappy but his speed his awesome. I figure I can build him up to at least a 90 after a season.Quote:

A friend and I played Chargers vs Seahawks, in the rain. It was an absolute INT fest. Not a single fumble, but both Rivers and Hasselbeck must've had 5-6 each. Marcus Trufant had at least 4 by himself.
Hopefully once my friend gets done checking it out, I'll finally get around to getting an XBox Live account and start getting my ass handed to me online.
I saw this game at Best Buy being played on a big screen plasma TV. Now, I'm not really a football fan... but this game looked AWESOME!! I may buy it.
