Thread: Mandatory PS3 Items and Games

Okay, I made the jump today. I cashed in my gift cards and got a PS3 mostly for the blu ray player. I play more games on the 360, but was wondering if there are any games that I must have. I do not like the Madden Games and am not the biggest RPG fan. Help please

Off the top of my head:

Uncharted
Uncharted 2
Resistance (if you like shooters)
Resistance 2

Killzone 2

Get the God of War collection (contains remastered versions of God of War 1 and 2) in preparation for the 3rd installment coming out in March

If you haven't already, make sure you get the remote for the blu ray player.

Optional items being a wireless keyboard and if you have Netflix, order the free disk they supply so you can stream movies from Netflix straight to the PS3.

Games? well i don't use it that much for games. I'm a PC gamer. But i have NHL 10, am getting Dantes Inferno this week and Bioshock 2 will probably be one of the best games of the year.

A game from Rockstar (GTA IV or the upcoming Red Dead Redemption)

Already have GTA IV for the 360. I usually get most of my games for that.

But the only reason I don't have a PS3 myself is because I don't *need* anything for it. All the games that are exclusive to the PS3 only doesn't appeal to me. Anything else I really want, it's already on the 360.

FFXIII was easily on the list for PS3, but since it's coming out for the 360 as well... there's no need. lol

2nd on the blu ray remote. i sell it every time. i always ask, yeah man you and i might know how to pause, play, and rewind, but what about the girlfriend? or your mom? it's a necessity on the ps3
