Thread: Mass Effect 3 .... March 6th, 2012

Haha. I feel scammed. I read some review that made it seem so much deeper. I did destroy good, now I'm doing control bad. What's the synergy?

Anyone gets upset by what I said, remember its still an awesome game and I'm playing through my second time and will do it a third I'm sure.

I suppose ultimately some closure would be good. They did kind of drop the ball there, I was kind of left wondering what happened to everyone else? Still think its a solid ending. But people are gonna cry because we all have so much invested in OUR shephard. Great game. Best series of games I've ever played(probably).

I just finished the second playthrough. I see some differences. Then I looked up ending spoilers and there actually are a bunch of different things that can happen about what gets destroyed or not, who lives and dies, and how they die.

Perhaps this helps with explaining the ending. It theorizes what is probably going on, and it is basically what I thought was going down when I was playing it.

I was really disappointed by the game. Major points for the shooting mechanics, but the writing and scenario was schizophrenic. When it comes to writing: the good parts were good( Tuchanka, 90% of Thessia ) the bad parts were catastrophic( the end, Udina, Jessica Chobot?!, James Vega?..., Virmire survivor?... and lots of here-and-there dialog ). Javik was completely unnecessary and even if intentional, totally misused logically( translator, hello!? ). The writing was also totally contrary to what the rest of the series was about and player choice. The sound design was AMAZING though. The guns sounded like guns, but the whole game also sounded sci-fi which was great.

We have to play through the final mission again to get this ending. Hopefully its a little better...

After ME2, I replayed that game to hell and back because it was so fun making all the different choices. But after ME3, when we all found out that our choices didn't do squat... (especially when BioWare promised that it would) there was no point in replaying it. Really hope they did this extended ending correctly. *Crosses fingers*

Anyone have Mass Effect 1 for pc that they want to get rid of?
