MW3 vs. Battlefield 3 - Which is better?

I'm a big MW3 fan. Couldn't get into Battlefield 3, but the guys that do play, love it. Which do you prefer and why?

i think it can be broken down to these two questions.

Do you like to run'n'gun? MW3 is for you

Do you like to use teamwork? BF3 is for you

I personally prefer the game play and feel of black ops over mw3. I like some of the new additions they made in mw3, especially the "toggle through killstreaks". Other than that, the gameplay just felt too twitchy/jerky to me. (MW3). I did DL the BF3 beta, and i thought it was pretty cool. My experience with the BF franchise is almost nil, so I wasn't that good at all with it, but I liked the beta map, and the weapons and stuff.

All that being said, I just traded in my MW3 to GameStop, got $25 credit, and picked up a used NHL11 for $22.95. :D

MW3 is still pretty active on the xbox side while BF3 is pretty much just Ecktore.

Still glad I picked up MW3 over BF3.

It's funny, I was so pumped for BF3 because I wanted a change from Call of Duty. Thanks to the BF3 beta/demo, I hated it so much I switched my pre-order from BF3 right over to MW3. The thing is... MW3 plays exactly like MW2, which I love! I liked MW2 a lot and didn't enjoy BlackOps as much... so MW3 was perfect for me.

As for BF3, all the people I know who got this game stopped playing it in a few weeks. While the ones I know who play MW3 still play it to this day.

I'm not a fan of cod series anymore, and still play bf3 regularly with my buddies who also prefer. i got in to bf bad company 2 and prefered the teamwork, bigger maps and use of vehicles over the arcade/die in 2 seconds gameplay.

Battlefield 3 is, as has been mentioned, a lot more teamwork oriented. The better you play WITH your squad, the better your team will do. You have four classes: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. It's similar to MW3 in that there are two larger teams, but different in that the teams are divided into squads of up to 4 players per squad. I played both, and I liked both, but I had MW3 on xbox and I had to sell it and my roommates have a PS3 and BF3 so that's what I stick to.

One thing that I might point out is that BF3 is much more realistic than MW3 is.

I own both for the 360, and I tend to play BF3 a lot more than MW3. I'll only play MW3 when I get a game invite from the other LGK members.

MW3 is the most frustrating game I've ever played. I've been thinking of picking up BF3...also I enjoyed Black Ops more than any other COD. Hopefully the next COD is more like it.

BF3 has TDM and Squad TDM for those that like that type of game.
I prefer the tactics and strategy that BF3 requires you to use in their objective based games.

in COD I only played the objective based games. I quit COD because I saw it as one big money grab.
Luckily I got the GotY edition of COD4 so free map packs. I bought all the maps on MW2 like a sucker. Only bought 1 map pack for Black Ops. Decided to skip a year or two for the series as it got increasingly boring with all the hacks throughout the series though MW2 was the worst in that aspect.
