Thread: New Salary Cap Keeper League - Hockey

Hey. I'm starting a new fantasy league for those that are interested.

It will be a keeper league with a salary cap that is the same as the NHL's salary cap every year.

Basic Info:
Yahoo
20 Teams
Pro Roster (23 Players) + Farm Roster (20 Players)
NHL Salary Cap
Free (For now and most likely the whole time but we'll see down the line)


Undecided as of now for whether it will be a Head to Head league, Rotisserie League, or Points Only League but hopefully that's not a deal breaker. (Will most likely be Head to Head or Points Only)

Stats are not set in stone as well but most likely won't stray to far away from your normal league (G,A, +/-, SOG, PIM, Hits, etc. ... W, GAA, SV%, SO, etc...).

The only reason these 2 are undecided as of now is because registration hasn't opened up on Yahoo yet but once that happens, I will have made a decision within a few days of that.

We will have 2 drafts during the summer. A Dispersal Draft to fill out our Pro and Farm Team Roster (38 Rounds) and a Entry Draft (43 Rounds)

As of now there are 9 GMs in the league who I can personally vouch for that I know will be committed and active in the league and message boards. I know this from being in leagues with them (previously and currently).

That leaves 11 spots for those that are interested. (Only reason this league has 20 GMs and not 30 is because Yahoo only allows 20. If Yahoo ever increased its max teams, I would expand the league to 30) Don't like Fantrax or ESPN so don't ask me to change to those sites.

For those that are interested, PM me on here. This isn't a first come first serve basis. I'm only looking for GMs that I can tell will be committed.

This means, that you're going to have to submit a resume of sorts in the PM of your experience with Fantasy Hockey and Fantasy Sports in general. Just tell me about how many leagues you've been in, what kind of leagues they were (Hockey/Baseball/etc... and Keeper/Non Keeper/ Salary Cap/ Non Salary Cap).

I'm going to take the GMs that I think will be active and make this a fun league. If I think you are qualified, I will send you more in depth details about the league.


My vision for this league is to look for a league that closely emulates the NHL as closely as possible. If this is what you're interested in as well, then this is the league for you!
