New Super Mario Brothers Wii

Played New Super Mario Brothers Wii for a couple of hours yesterday. Have not tried more than 1 player yet, but it is loads of fun.

Has some nice tough parts too and I'm only on World 2. New powers are the Propeller suit (easy to control and useful for certain stages), the Ice Flower (throw ice balls) and the Penguin suit (have not had it yet).

Seems to carry over a lot of secret stuff like in the DS version (like needing to be mini to access some secret levels). Oh, and it's the first Wii game to come in a nice shiny red case.

Cool to see a 2-D platformer though. It might get overlooked if people compare it to Super Mario Galaxy.

Is there online play for the multiplayer version? (The one with 4 people on the same screen.) If so, I might consider getting it...

I haven't purchased a new game for the Wii since Smash Bros Brawl came out. I just realized that was about 18 months ago. Yikes!

yes i picked this game up yesterday and lovin it! Although its probably about to see the shelves for a bit because assassins creed 2 is coming out, but still great game!

Can't believe I read a review that bagged on this for not being SMGalaxy2. The game is fantastic and hard in spots if you're not doing something right, just like it should be.

Picked this up for my wife and it is good times. I do like the lo-fi 2-D stuff and it brings me back. Now I Have to split time between this, Super Mario Galaxy (finally picked it up), and MW2. Luckily I have not picked up L4D2 yet, Lego Rock Band, or the Jack Black heavy metal game(it is pretty fun)

probably going to get this game soon... i wish they would make like an "all mario" game from all the old mario's on all the previous platforms, that would be killer

They rather make you download those individually via virtual console.

Picked this game up over the weekend, and it is awesome! The only thing againt this game is the lack of online play. Had some friends over last night, and we played it for a good couple of hours. It is a fun fun game.
