I do not like the new dashboard. The only thing I do like is the netflix feature. Just watched a movie in HD.
How much does the Netflix cost? I already have a subscription through the mail, is it the same?
I was a big fan of their old interface, and this one will take some time getting used to. I found that the more you play around with it, the more you realize that everything is much easier to find and navigate through. I really like the new achievements menu, very easy to see what you have and haven't done and all the games you've played.
I did think it was a little rediculos just how closely they copied the Wii feel for the avatars. It even sounds exactly the same. We'll see if they come out with anything decent that utilizes these.
But the big thing about this is the Netflix. I'm not a big movie guy, but i may have to get Netflix just so i can use this. It's very easy to set up (watched my friend do it), and the quality looked pretty good (the best way i can describe it is a little better than SD clarity in HD size). The XBox has made itself into the most useful movie accessory that you can buy. Pretty genius if you ask me.
Give it some time and i think everyone will start to appreciate it.
So no one has their console freeze on them constantly since the new dashboard came out?
It freezes when I'm trying to view my friends. I like how they do their "wave" and have it show what game they're playing. But when I press 'A' to read their profile or see why there are 3-4 other avatars with them, my console will freeze. It happened like 3 times before I stopped trying to look at peoples profiles.
But then my console froze again as I was just scrolling through the windows/frames on the dashboard when someone "Signs in".
As an example, it'll say: Watti has signed on. And that little small notice box that pops up. And this is while I'm scrolling through a window... it'll freeze my console =\
But if this is only happening to me, then my console is probably going to die again... crap.
I like it a lot. Interface looks modern and sleek.
Tried Netflix, but I am using a wireless b hub, so the picture was not the best. May have to upgrade to wireless n.
Loading Fable 2 took about 10 minutes and it was 6.7 G.
The XBOX is now quiet while playing!!! Best feature so far. May also have to upgrade to the bigger hard drive too.
its free if you already have a netflix account. i think it just uses up your "watch instantly" credits that you have allotted each monthQuote:

The netflix option is awesome. I watched a documentary about break dancing last night. I also downloaded the new fable 2 theme, it looks pretty cool.
