I tried the RBK Edge code and I have to say that the uniforms look good on 3D models, so hopefully that carries over into the real world.

I was watching the feed of the pre-season game tonight from the Ponda here at work. (No audio or graphics, just a feed of the buildings in-house cams. Oh, and I didn't find out we had it until midway through the 3rd.) They really did the design a disservice by keeping that awful "Los Angeles" text on the bottom of the jersey.

the scoring by the computer is out of whack. They score some really soft goals. Still like the fact that it's more competitive now.

Two kids i signed for Manchester was Wells Greeno-McNeil, and Olli Malmivaara. The Monarchs were horrible before they came in. I've won 5 in a row so far.

I suck at this game. I wonder if it's because of the 2K Sports I got used to the past few years. I am getting clobbered in Pro mode.

4-3 loss to the Ducks.
6-1 loss to the Ducks.

Monarchs 1st game against the Admirals... 5-1 loss.

They are just constantly scoring off the slap shot near the face off circles with no one screening the goalie. I'm passing tons, cycling, getting one timers but they just keep hitting the post or the goalie saves it easily.

Any tips? A tad frustrating to be honest. Oh yeah, this is on freaking Pro too... lol. I'm thinking of going to Rookie mode to see how I fare there. And I haven't EVER played a Rookie Mode thing in any game since I started in NHL 96. That's how bad it is. :(

Isn't that one of those make-a-wish foundation kids they put in the game every year, I think last year was Stratton Whitaker.

If he is a make a wisher, at least he was given attributes that aren't Gretzkyish.

NHL 2k series was even worse with fake players.

Was looking at the rosters and Aki Berg is ranked a 87?!? with Team Finland. His attributes make him look like Bobby Orr!

Started my dynasty with a shutout of Anaheim 3-0 (with Cloutier!), next night they steamrolled me 6-1(pulled Clouts after the 5th goal, 1st shot against Labs went in as well). Best part of that game was Blake beating up Moen.

I'm about 25 games in and boy do I suck at offense. I had to go back to Pro because I couldn't score more than 1 goal a game on the CPU. Even on Pro I can barely score 3 goals a game. I can generate plenty of shots though.

Right now my number one complaint about the game is that there are far too many pucks that go out of play. I don't understand how a slapshot that hits a goalie's pads flies over the glass and out. Other than that I think this game is very solid top to bottom.
