07 was 10 times easier to score than 08

I'm used to classic controls and NHL 2k7. Pro level is owning me hard. I just can't retain control and not sure how to defend well.

Thats a bad thing.

i just found out the new "move".
- come down either side
- fake shot
- use the skill deke stick to pull the puck inside
- use the deke again outside
- shoot outside post
almost works every time, makes the goalie go towards the opposite boards in the butterfly so it opens up the near side of the net

1/30th of the time I can setup behind the net w/ Fro and squirt a pass into the slot to Cammy/Kopi/etc for the goal...

Anyone else having problems with NHL08 freezing on PS2? Was playing Dynasty mode and was in the 3rd season about midway through and anytime I tried to R1 or L1 through the teams to look to make a trade, the system would speed up and the game would freeze.

Decided to start a new Dynasty and noticed games freezing up more and more.

mine froze once , i think it was in game . yours just sounds f'd in the a

Maybe I was the only one who was having to download the online roster every time I played a game, but if I wasn't here's a fix.

It's pretty simple. Go to your Xbox 360 Dashboard>Memory>Games>NHL08

Now delete ALL ROSTER SAVE FILES. This includes offline roster files.

Restart NHL08. Go online and join a game. You will be asked to download and save the latest online rosters. SELECT OKAY for both. You will now have the latest online roster saved on your hard drive and you will not have to download the roster whenever you join an online game.
