Thread: Nhl 08 Out Now!

Count me in on the freezing BS, other games work fine in it, but NHL 08 causes my replacement console that MS sent to freeze up.

Just when I think I have online scoring figured out I get smoked 3 games in a row while only scoring a total of 2 goals. This is such a frustratingly awesome game.

I'll tell you what I have learned, if you aren't using the Red Wings you're giving yourself a major handicap. The line of Datsyuk/Zetterberg/Holmstrom is ridiculously overpowering in this game.

I really hate playing against Anaheim and Ottawa. The two teams I hate the most in the game because their goalies are always brick walls. I have no idea why nothing gets by them after 50-60 shots. Something isn't right.

Here's an update from my Dynasty Mode! I just finished the regular season. I did not sim any games, not that I ever. (I played only like 15 Manchester games though, I simmed through most of those).

I finished with 109 points putting me up at #2 in the Western Conference. Just barely beating out the Sharks, who had 108 points. The Avs finished 1st with 128 points... (WTF).

What made me extra happy was beating the Ducks the last game of the season. I kept them out of the playoffs. It's crazy.. I can beat the Avs easily in this game. But my record against the Ducks is 1-6-1. It's the last game of the season, where I won. And it put them 1 point out of the final playoff spot. It wasn't their last game though, but the #8 team (Detroit) clinched it after I beat the Ducks.

Good stuff! Now it's the 1st round matchup against the Oilers. I just beat them 5-2 in Game 1 so far. That's all for now!

has anyone tried re-creating the 92-93 kings in create player/ create a team mode?? its a long and arduous process but i decided to do it. any suggestions for what i should rate the players??
