I would like to join you guys team if you are in need of a D. I have been on the Shammers United since the game came out and we were division 1 ranked 8. I had a falling out with one of the GM's cause I thought it was stupid to have to log the games and stats on the team website(I waste enough time on the game as it is). Anyway I am a very solid D and I would like to tryout for a team that is halfway decent. My gamertag is Bearcat204 and I look foward to meeting some of you guys.
Went into my last game needing 5 goals for 100. Managed 4 in the game, including one to force overtime with 20 seconds left and another in double OT to win it.

So how are you guys scoring most of your goals post-patch?
The team I'm on now gets kind of annoying. They just go for one timers and the occasional slap shot. It works, but it's more fun to actually set up plays and move the puck to the point and everything. So pretty much every time I have to charge up the wing and either make the cross-ice pass or wait for it. Being a sniper, I prefer wrist shots to the corners but I rarely get those chances anymore.
They aren't playing quite as much NHL 09 ( Division 2 team however), so I'm tempted to go back to LGK if you need a Left Wing. I've been getting all green connections with these guys so that's my only concern.
Well, Division 2 Team. Figures that they would use the same lame moves over and over. That's what teams in the "top divisions" do, unfortunately. Do the same crap over and over because it works =\Quote:

HAHA....I just got the best voice message I have ever received. We beat this team using the Rangers on a couple of flukey goals and I get this (close enough to verbatim):
"Yo you guys are a bunch of f-gs. Scored some lucky fa-o-ty goals. Take a slap shot and it hits the goalie in the glove and bounces over and into the net. Get that s--t out of here you UK f---ot. Brush your teeth"

As for Team LGK spreading it around, I would say so. I have no complains as a defenseman. LGK rushes the net, but when I'm open (since no one really defends the defensemens), I'll get the pass. Good puck movement usually leads to goals :)
The one thing I absolutely hate about NHL 09 are people constantly checking you when you're no where near the puck. EA Sports need get the "refs" to call the penalty every time so idiots can't do it to take advantage.
Sometimes I play against people who always check me at the blueline hoping to get that breakaway scoring chance if a teammate gives it to me, and I'm already down on the ice. 95% of the time, I always get checked when I'm really far away from the play and there are no-calls. When you retaliate ONCE, you get called for it. Weak stuff.
