Thread: NHL 09 LGK "Clan/Guild/Team" for XBox 360

Grrr, this might mean I actually have to subscribe to a REAL xbox live plan.

Assuming that does happen, I'm down for Offensive Defenseman or Playmaking LW.

It's only...what...like seven bucks a month or something? Well worth it.

Look on E-bay for those LIVE Gold packages. Sometimes you can get them for less than MSRP.

I think it works more like Halo... you have a "clan" of players (say 30 or so) and any 6 online at any time can play a game for the team. I think you can even have more than one "Team LGK" game going on at once, and the stats and overall record just accumulate over time. I can't access gaming sites at work, but when I get home I'll try to find the link where I read about it. It sounds like they have a pretty good system in place that I'm sure will make more sense once we get hands-on experience with it... With just 6 players, it'll be hard to get any games in with people's differing schedules and all, so it's best to stick with one big team, the more players the better.

Maybe we should keep a running list of everyone who says they're in and the position they prefer in the first post of this thread? And then later on if it ends up being better to break into smaller groups, we can do it pretty easily.

Maybe we should put some of this stuff in our Live profiles just to make it easier. For instance, under your Biography you could do something like this:



Live Gamertag:......SpaceLobster
LGK Tag:..............Chartrand
BAP Name:............Xxxxx Chartrand
Position:................LW
Role:...................Sniper



Or something like that. Or not at all if that's too nerdy. I'm sure NHL 09 will handle that stuff anyway.

I'm hoping there's some kind of lobby where it shows everyone on your team who is online and has some kind of interface to assemble a game... it's EA though, so you never really know. Not a bad idea on the profiles, though. From last years online league, I have several LGKers on my friends list that I have no idea what their screen names are here, since they're different...

Sounds like we have the option to openly invite players online to our team, but we should really try to keep it to LGK members, and therefore again, the more the merrier.

each team can have 50 players, and you potentially could have 16 games for one team going on at one time, as you only need 3 real people to play a league game.

Lets try to keep it in the "family" (LGK)
