so in 08 they didn't have jack's picture, so he just looked really generic with a shaved head. This year he looks the exact same...did they forget to make him look like himself?

They don't have Bernier's face either which to me is pretty astounding. I don't know how much information they can have in a downloadable roster update (which I'm sure they'll have about a month into the season or so) but hopefully there will be some faces added on that one.

I've also noticed that they've really committed to putting more of the player's names in the game. I it's really nice to hear about them give commentary about Purcell, Cliche and Crosty. Bravo.

The game has gotten near universal acclaim this year...IGN gave it a 9.0. I have to echo the question that they had: What do they do next year to top this year?

So I wear #11 (my favorite number). After scoring 2 Goals and 2 Assists with a +4 for Manchester, I got called up to the Kings! That was quite exciting =D

They gave me #13 since Kopi had 11. Plus I found reason to love the #13 because I played 13 games for Manchester before being called up

You guys were right. Along with the reviews of the game. The NHL is faster. More passing and better shots from players. In my 1st NHL game, I even got the 1st goal of the game. I just shot it from the point and it surprisingly flew in. I also netted 2 assists that game (Frolov is a wicked sniper) along with a +5 rating.

Bernier, Boyle, and Purcell also got called up... so that's cool to see. The Kings were almost dead last though, when I got called up. Did this happen for you guys too? They were 4-7-1 I think.

But now they are 6-7-1 after a nice 6-1 win over Florida and a 3-0 win over St. Louis (Way to go Bernier!)

Nagy's on the first line. O'Sullivan was demoted to the third line. The GM signed Eric Cairns and Olli Malmivaara to be his linemate. Colin White is also on the team and is pretty awesome. I cannot tell who was traded for him.

I am playing a defense defensman. got promoted to the Kings 12 games in. Kings had signed Bryan Berard and the Bruins had signed Richards away from the Kings - (not sure what their compensation was).

I got called up in a massive shakeup for the (last place) Kings roster. Up were: myself, Bernier, Purcell, and Boyle. Sent down were: Guliano, Dallman, Ersberg, and Ellis.

Bernier got the start.

for some reason, Nagy, Thornton, and Guliano are still on the Kings.... :(

My first game in the NHL was against the Ducks. First shift of the game, I put a clean, heavy hit against Corey Perry - he went straight to the locker room, clutching his left arm, never to return. I can't script stuff this good.

So to top it off I bury my first NHL goal in the second period against Hillar which holds up to be the game winner. Finished the game with a +1 rating, 1 g 1 a for my first NHL game. Sweet debut!

So far as playmaking center, I've been pushed through Manchester and managed to get myself promoted from 3rd line center all the way to 1st line center on the Kings club. In my first game for the Kings I had 2 goals and an assist and got #1 star of the game. On the 1st line my linemates and I never clicked so the coach put me back down to 2nd line center for "lack of production". I'm sure Kopitar is happier, but I think I have more points than him.

As far as playing in goal? Yeah, if the game could do it they would send me to Ontario. I just plain suck. And it doesn't help my team keeps getting shut out. So even IF I played better, I'd still need shut outs for a chance to win.

I couldn't stand the fact that I was making assists to Kanko and Guiliano so I updated the Kings roster myself, and I also gave the goalies all a boost in the 5 hole department, they were all letting in ****ty goals. Poor Moulson can't get a call up from Manchester and Gabe Gauthier is a scoring beast!!!

Coming down the left wing I fired a shot on net that the goalie covered up. Just as I was skating by I took a chance and poke checked the goaltender. Lo and behold, the puck slips through the goalie's legs and into the net as the defensemen look on in confusion.

Seems as though you can be rewarded for jabbing at the goalie this year, which provides more incentive for defensemen to keep the crease clear. Hopefully these types of goals don't happen too often though....but it was fun to watch.

Especially annoying is when I have a 1 goal 2 assist game ....grrr..
